Job Description:Software Engineer in Test Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this positionDo you have a passion for software testing and automation?As a Software Engineer in Test (SDET), you will leverage technical expertise in automation, business domain knowledge, and data analysis to deliver high-quality, reliable software. You will partner with engineering teams to build scalable testing solutions, reduce risk, and ensure applications meet business expectations with consistency and confidence.The TeamWithin FFIO Quality Engineering, we partner with engineering teams across FFIO and Enterprise Technology to elevate product quality, improve delivery outcomes, and ensure systems are resilient, stable, and ready for scale.The RoleIn this role, you will work with a team focused on improving product quality and delivery performance. You will partner with engineering and business teams to increase system reliability, reduce defects, and strengthen overall product health.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain automated test suites to validate product quality and release readinessExecute targeted manual testing where it adds the most valueEnable teams with effective test management practices that improve delivery outcomesPartner with engineers to expand test coverage and reduce defect leakageContinuously improve testing strategies, tooling, and execution to increase efficiency and effectivenessThe Expertise You HaveBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).3 plus  years of experience in test automation and software quality assurance.Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).Strong programming/scripting skills (Java, Python, or JavaScript).Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).Familiarity with API testing (Swagger, REST Assured).Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems.Design and implement test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.Collaborate with developers and QA teams to identify test requirements and coverage.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects effectively.Maintain documentation for test cases, scripts, and automation processes.Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.High levels of engagement at the team and group levels; Desire to learn and impact outside your primary tasking.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholdersThe Skills You BringHands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright)Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScriptStrong API testing capabilitiesAdvanced SQL skills for data validation and analysisAbility to troubleshoot complex issues using data-driven approachesThe Value You BringAccelerate delivery of business value by improving testing efficiency and effectivenessIncrease release confidence through strong automation, validation, and defect preventionReduce production risk by minimizing change-related incidentsImprove system stability, resiliency, and overall application healthDrive continuous improvements that lead to better delivery outcomes and fewer defectsCertifications:Category:Information TechnologyPlease be advised that Fidelity’s business is governed by the provisions of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, ERISA, numerous state laws governing securities, investment and retirement-related financial activities and the rules and regulations of numerous self-regulatory organizations, including FINRA, among others.
