Currently, we are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer - Imaging Platform who will design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale digital imaging solutions powering end-to-end image management across digital channels. This Senior Engineer will focus on building and enhancing platforms like IMDash (Image Tool) to support image ingestion, processing, transformation, storage, and delivery using AEM, cloud platforms, and modern full-stack technologies, while enabling intelligent and scalable media experiences.Expectations for the Role:Imaging Platform (Core Focus – IMDash)Design and build enterprise image management capabilities including:Image ingestion, validation, and metadata managementImage transformation (resizing, compression, format optimization)Storage and retrieval systemsImage delivery pipelines for multiple channels (web, mobile, APIs)Enhance and scale IMDash (Image Tool) platform for high-volume digital assetsEnable Dynamic Media integration and optimized image rendering strategiesAEM & Digital Asset ManagementDevelop and integrate Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for:Asset management (AEM Assets)Content delivery (headless or hybrid)Build reusable AEM components, workflows, and APIs for media operationsSupport headless CMS and API-driven image delivery modelsBackend DevelopmentBuild backend services using: PHP (Laravel/Symfony) and/or Java-based services (if required by ecosystem)Develop scalable REST/GraphQL APIs for image services and integrationsImplement microservices supporting media processing pipelinesFront-End DevelopmentDevelop UI/portal features for IMDash using: React.js / Angular & HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScriptBuild intuitive image management dashboards for upload, preview, tagging, and monitoringOptimize front-end performance for media-heavy applicationsCloud & Platform EngineeringDesign and deploy imaging solutions on: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Cloud Storage, GKE, Cloud Run) & Microsoft Azure (Blob Storage, AKS, App Services)Build cloud-native, scalable media processing pipelinesImplement CDN integration and caching strategies for image deliveryData & DatabaseDesign and optimize PostgreSQL schemas for:Asset metadataImage attributes and taxonomyEnsure high availability, indexing, and performance tuning for large-scale asset dataAI / Intelligent ImagingApply AI/ML capabilities to imaging workflows: Image tagging and classification & Auto metadata generation & Content moderation or quality checksIntegrate AI services/APIs to enhance asset discovery and personalizationSupport intelligent search and recommendation use cases (where applicable)REQUIRED QUALIFCATIONS5+ years of Software Engineering experience with a Full stack / Backend specialty3+ years of experience with PHP (Laravel/Symfony)3+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM – Sites/Assets)3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL3+ years building or supporting media/image processing systems or DAM platforms2+ years of hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP)2+ years of hands on experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes2+ years of exposure to image processing concepts (resizing, compression, formats, CDN, caching)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems or platforms like IMDashExposure to AI/ML in image processing (tagging, classification, computer vision APIs)Exposure to Headless AEM and Dynamic MediaExperience with Cloud storage systems (Blob Storage, GCS)Experience with CDN/image delivery optimizationExperience with CI/CD and DevOps practicesCertifications within AEM Developer Certification, Azure / Google Cloud certifications and/or DevOps certificationsExperience with front-end frameworks (React / Angular)Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices architecture and distributed systemsEDUCATIONBachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)BUSINESS OVERVIEWBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
