Shipping and Receiving Specialist – Defense Sector (Aiea, HI)Join a mission that moves the Pacific. Leidos is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping and Receiving Specialist to support our PACAF C5ISRO II mission at our Aiea, Hawaii site. This role plays a vital part in delivering logistics excellence to our Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) customers across the Pacific Theater. If you're passionate about precision, logistics, and national security, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.What You’ll DoAs a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations—ensuring that every shipment is accurate, secure, and on time. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of goods and materials, from arrival to departure, while maintaining compliance with safety and inventory protocols.Receiving OperationsUnload incoming trucks and inspect packages for damage or discrepanciesVerify shipments against purchase orders and packing listsLog materials into inventory systems and store them in designated locationsShipping OperationsPick, pack, and prepare orders for shipmentAssemble crates and secure packagingGenerate shipping labels and documentationCoordinate with carriers and select optimal shipping methodsInventory & DocumentationMaintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle countsTrack inbound/outbound shipment schedulesMonitor stock levels of shipping suppliesGeneral ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipmentKeep warehouse areas clean, safe, and organizedCollaborate with internal teams and external carriersFollow all safety procedures and regulationsWhat You BringBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of relevant experienceActive Secret-level security clearanceProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Strong communication and customer service skillsExcellent organizational abilities (digital and paper-based)Ability to work independently and collaborativelyPhysical capability to lift, move, and handle repetitive tasksPreferred QualificationsExperience with Costpoint MRP systemsCertified forklift operator (standing and sitting)Familiarity with pallet scales, wrappers, and jacksPrior warehouse operations experienceExceptional attention to detail and time managementThis is more than a logistics role—it’s a chance to support a critical defense mission while growing your career in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
