In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs heavily focusing on, and including, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety and fire protection systems to ensure proper facility operations. You will maintain and operate equipment that supports a variety of operations – labs, clean rooms, office space, plant equipment, data centers, and warehouses. They will work closely with senior level Mechanics for guidance & prioritization.This role is onsite at our Memphis Airways location and will be first shift: 7AM – 3:30PM, Monday - Friday                  Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipmentTypically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and weldingConducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipmentUses hand and power toolsTests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipmentUses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specificationsMust HavesHigh School Diploma and 4+ years of Facilities experienceShelby County Boiler LicenseNice to HaveStrong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systemsBoiler License 1st ClassExperience with wastewater treatment systems and RO/DI (Reverse Osmosis/Deionization) water systemsElectrical experienceGeneral knowledge of dock door repairsGeneral knowledge of paint, sheetrock and concrete repairKnowledge of Air compressorsKnowledge of material handling vehiclesKnowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS)Knowledge with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Knowledge with Fire/Life Safety SystemsFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
