Working at the intersection of clinical insight, technology, and commercial excellence, the team develops solutions that improve patient outcomes and procedural efficiency.Within this business, PillCam capsule endoscopy is transforming the way clinicians visualize and evaluate the gastrointestinal tract - unlocking diagnostic insight through a simple, patient‑friendly technology that expands access to care and enables earlier detection of disease. Each PillCam capsule contains a miniature camera(s) that travels naturally through the GI tract, capturing thousands of images that provide physicians with critical diagnostic insight.As the largest portfolio within the Endoscopy business, PillCam plays a critical role in advancing innovation, expanding clinical impact, and driving future growth.The Principal Global Upstream Product Manager will lead the long-term strategy for the PillCam franchise, translating clinical insights, customer needs, and market opportunities into differentiated product strategies and platform roadmaps. This role drives innovation in next-generation capsule endoscopy, including advanced imaging, AI-enabled analysis, and new clinical applications that expand how physicians diagnose gastrointestinal disease.Key ResponsibilitiesUpstream Product and Portfolio StrategyDefine the long‑term product vision and strategic direction for the franchiseShape product roadmap priorities based on customer insights, clinical evidence, and market dynamicsDevelop portfolio segmentation, use cases, and value propositions across GI diagnostic pathwaysVoice of Customer and Market InsightsLead global voice‑of‑customer initiatives across clinicians, health systems, and key stakeholdersTranslate unmet needs into clear product requirements and differentiated product conceptsMonitor competitive activity, emerging technologies, and regulatory trends to inform product strategyCross‑Functional Product Development LeadershipPartner with cross-functional Core teams to define product requirements and development prioritiesSupport business cases and investment decisions for new products and platform enhancementsCollaborate with downstream marketing teams to align product strategy with commercialization planningClinical and Evidence StrategyPartner with Medical Affairs to shape clinical evidence strategies and study prioritiesEnsure clinical value, reimbursement considerations, and economic impact are reflected in product strategyMust Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in upstream product management, product marketing, or strategy rolesORAdvanced degree with 8 years of experience in upstream product management, product marketing, or strategy rolesNice to HaveExperience leading upstream product strategy for medical technologies or medical devicesExperience influencing product roadmap and investment decisions in a matrixed organizationExperience with capsule endoscopy, imaging technologies, or AI‑enabled diagnosticsUnderstanding of gastroenterology clinical workflows and diagnostic pathwaysExperience working closely with R&D, Medical Affairs, and global commercial teamsMBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, or life sciencesFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
