You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeThe Senior Sales Manager – New Market is responsible for driving commercial growth, market expansion, and strategic execution across emerging and developing markets in Vietnam. This role leads sales teams to achieve financial and operational targets, while building sustainable business pipelines and expanding Medtronic’s presence in new customer segments.The incumbent will develop and execute market entry strategies, oversee sales operations, and drive cross-functional collaboration to accelerate innovation adoption and business growth.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:1. Business & Financial LeadershipDirectly contribute to the achievement of financial and operational targets in alignment with business unit and regional objectivesEstablish annual budgets, sales forecasts, and long-term growth plans for New Market segmentsMonitor performance against targets and implement corrective actions to ensure delivery2. Sales Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and drive sales strategies aligned with Business Unit and regional prioritiesLead sales planning, territory optimization, and pipeline development to ensure sustainable growthEnsure effective field execution, including resource allocation and sales force effectiveness3. Market Development & ExpansionIdentify and develop new markets, customer segments, and strategic opportunitiesBuild long-term relationships with key stakeholders including hospitals, surgeons, and distributorsLead market entry initiatives and scale business in underpenetrated regions4. Product & Commercial ExcellenceOversee new product and market introductions, ensuring successful commercializationDrive sales training programs to enhance team capabilities and competencyCoordinate key surgeon engagement, KOL development, and participation in industry congresses5. Business Planning & Marketing AlignmentProvide strategic direction on marketing plans, demand generation, and go-to-market approachesAlign sales and marketing activities to optimize business outcomes and customer impactMaintain long-range sales and marketing plans to support sustained growth6.
