The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to develop software components, internal applications, automation solutions, APIs, and operational tooling using technologies such as virtualization, microservices, software-defined networking, network functions virtualization, and modern software development practices. This position requires independent development across software solutions, understanding system protocols, data flows, technology interactions, and supporting automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency. Success is measured by the ability to deliver technical solutions, produce clear documentation, and contribute to technology strategy and innovation. The work impacts the organization by enabling advanced software systems that improve operational efficiency and support business goals.This position follows a hybrid work model and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, with the flexibility to work up to two days per week from home. Eligible office locations include: Overland Park, KS; Denver, CO; and Frisco, TX.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop software solutions that support engineering projects and meet customer requirements.Contribute to the development of internal applications, APIs, automation workflows, and supporting software services.Collaborate with technical teams, product stakeholders, and operational partners to deliver effective technical solutions and continuously learn new technologies.Support automation and tooling initiatives that improve efficiency, consistency, and operational effectiveness.Create clear documentation for software code, system designs, business requirements, and technical workflows.Contribute to technology strategy by understanding current technologies, system interactions, data flows, and supporting business goals.Present innovative ideas to improve systems, processes, services, or automation capabilities based on industry research.Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.Education and Work ExperienceBachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR Combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering (Required)2-4 years Technical engineering experience (Required)Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAnalytical Thinking (Required)Collaboration (Required)Continuous Development (Required)DevOps (Required)Emerging Technologies (Required)Programming Languages (Required)Software Design (Required)Software Development (Required)Technology Development (Required)Test Evaluation (Required)Understanding of web technologies, APIs, application integration patterns, and database concepts.Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and operational stakeholders.Experience contributing to software development across front-end and back-end environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience with automation platforms, workflow orchestration, or internal tooling solutions.Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks such as Java, TypeScript, Python, or .NET.Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and infrastructure automation practices.Familiarity with operational tooling, reporting platforms, or data pipeline development.Experience supporting internal operational systems or customer-facing applications.Experience developing RESTful APIs and service integrations.At least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesTravel:Travel Required (Yes/No): Yes, may be required to travel up to 10% based on business needs.DOT Regulated:DOT Regulated Position (Yes/No): NoSafety Sensitive Position (Yes/No): No***This base pay range is the National Base Pay Range - please click on the link in the 2nd paragraph to find the range for the location(s) listed.***Base Pay Range: $92,500 - $166,800Corporate Bonus Target: 15%The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role.
