Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Accounting Associate to join SGP-Tax & Acctg -Global Finance Services Division.The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore-Shared Services, Whitefield-KAWhat you will doGain an understanding of Caterpillar’s business and general accounting practices, systems and proceduresLearn and develop skills, which result from the practical application of basic accounting knowledgeProvide assistance to other team members within the work group as requiredThe candidate will be exposed to one or multiple accounting functions and systems and will accomplish basic analysis work, processing journal entries, reconciliations, and generating reports. The candidate will identify relevant data sources, gather and analyse information and provide feedback during month end reconciliation and closing. Typically, decisions will impact low risk issues and will be reviewed by a supervisor or team lead. Work will be assigned by the supervisor or team lead, but this position does not require close supervision to be effective. The variety of accounting tasks ranges from low to medium complexity.Possible areas of job duties: Process accounting journal entries timely and accurately to ensure that all financial transactions are properly accounted for payroll/MCTE entities assignedVerify data accuracy in the financial ledger and takes appropriate action before month end closing Prepare accounts reconciliation for assigned entities and update CART for all payroll/MCTE related accountsSupport team lead with Year End statutory audit related to payroll section for APAC and UKPerforms data collection and compilation to meet management ad hoc reporting needsHandles ad-hoc project assignments assigned by supervisor or team leadWhat you will have:Individuals who has knowledge of general accounting principles and possess an aptitude to understand on working multiple systems and the implications.
