Job Description SummaryThe Field Service Technician will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Role will be responsible for supporting the R391 (C130) Composite Propeller System and related components at a customer site.Job DescriptionJob Duties & Responsibilities:Hands on repair and maintenance of Composite Propeller System and related componentsProvide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair and installation of GE productsProvide on-site interpretation of data and technical instructionProvide Project Engineering, Program Management and Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding status of programs, customer problems, failures, trends, and climateProvide communication to Product Support and Field Service regarding all program activities and problems through regular, timely reportsAssist the team in scheduling maintenance and workloadAssist in ensuring parts meet established schedulesMake recommendations on findingsReview effectiveness of maintenance actions in order to identify training needsAnticipate requirements beyond those that immediately affect the program and assist in implementing actions to satisfy those requirementsPerform intermediate and depot level maintenanceAssist in ensuring tools meet required calibration schedulesGeneral housekeeping and adhering to shop requirementsRequired Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of aviation experience performing extensive repairs as well as maintenance and repair work on aircraft or engines/propeller systems)Ability to utilize detailed manuals, drawings, works instructions and other documentationDesired Qualifications & Experience:Strong oral and written communication skills in EnglishStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsProven analytical and continuous improvement mindsetAbility to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externallyAbility to travel internationally if requiredAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No#LI-Remote - This is a remote position
