Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us.SummaryThe Access and Reimbursement Manager is a customer-facing role responsible for leading access strategies and account support across assigned healthcare accounts and therapeutic areas in an island-wide assignment. This role builds strong relationships with internal customers and external customers, including healthcare providers, office staff, pharmacies, hospitals, and other stakeholders, to support appropriate patient access to BMS products. The ARM educates HCPs and their staff on patient support programs with a focus on access and reimbursement, and serves as a subject matter expert on payer policy, formulary status, coverage criteria, coding, billing, reimbursement, and affordability in a compliant and efficient manner.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary field resource and subject matter expert for access and reimbursement matters including payer policy, formulary status, coverage criteria across the HCP accounts assigned island wide.Appropriately create awareness about BMS Patient Assistance and Support Programs with HCPs and their staff and respond to customer questions in an appropriate and timely manner.Provide accurate, compliant guidance on coding and billing requirements across inpatient and outpatient settings, including complex reimbursement scenarios when applicable.Engage accounts to identify access barriers and deliver tailored access solutions.Support customer understanding of prior authorization, medical policy, claims submission, and reimbursement workflows that may impact patient access.Partner cross-functionally with internal matrix teams to align priorities tied to access objectives.Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with BMS policies, approved rules of engagement, and all applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.Prior Experience and EducationThe ideal candidate has:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health or Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.5+ years of overall Pharmaceutical and/or Healthcare industry experience in support of policy, access and reimbursement requiredPrevious experience with customer-facing roles required1+ years of direct Cell therapy experience strongly preferredThorough knowledge of reimbursement, coding and billing across both inpatient and outpatient settings of careKnowledge of health insurance coverage and reimbursement, inclusive of private Commercial coverage, Medicare, and MedicaidAbility to build relationships quickly and credibly across internal partners and external customersProven organizational skills with ability to problem solve and manage multiple urgent priorities in parallelExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated strengths in BMS Values – urgency, inclusion, passion, accountability, innovation, and integrity.Fully Bilingual: English/Spanish.Field-based role, with travel within territory across Puerto Rico of at least 75% of the time.If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
