We offer project-based rotations to help with your professional development, and a flat, collaborative environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform research, assessments and technical evaluations of AI models, methods and frameworks to solve problems or derive benefit to company AI capabilities and generative AI programConduct feasibility studies and create working proof of concepts for use-cases by exploring applications of AI to internal problems and datasets to de-risk AI engineering deliveryCollaborate with research teams on application of AI in drug design or target identificationProactively scan and keep up to date with AI researchSupport the creation of intellectual propertyDevelop and implement methodologies, benchmarks, toolkits for different AI approachesParticipate in internal professional communities of practice and mentor colleagues to raise artificial intelligence and data science maturity within the company     RequirementsBachelors, Masters or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Computer Science is highly preferredWe evaluate candidates on a case-by case basis but appreciate qualifications in quantitative, scientific and technology disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Physics, and BioinformaticsWe seek candidates that combine technical depth with the ability to work collaboratively and create impact2 years of relevant working experience in fields related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, data scienceProficiency in Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Machine Leaning frameworks is regarded usefulExperience in application of AI in protein design or cheminformatic is a plusUnderstanding of artificial intelligence research and ability to review research publicationsAbility to communicate and express technical viewpoints to senior stakeholders with succinctness and clarityHands-on code development experience and familiarity with the python scientific computing stacksFamiliarity with developing and deploying within a cloud based infrastructure and services environment is plusDomain knowledge in pharmaceutical business areas such as research, clinical, manufacturing, commercial and corporate functions is plusRequired Skills:Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML)Preferred Skills:Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HERESearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
