Job DescriptionWe are looking for a technically strong and proactive professional who thrives at the intersection of IT and laboratory environments and is eager to shape the digital future of our organization. For our Animal Health location in Boxmeer, the Netherlands, we are looking for a:IT Labs Technical EngineerWelcome to our teamOur Animal Health site in Boxmeer is part of a global network focused on the development, production, and distribution of animal health products, operating under strict quality and regulatory standards (GxP).Within Global Animal Health Manufacturing IT (AHIT), we deliver IT, laboratory, and automation solutions to our manufacturing sites in Boxmeer and De Bilt. Our scope includes a wide range of laboratory technologies such as LIMS, ELN, lab instruments, and supporting IT applications, all aimed at creating a seamless flow of data and efficient business operations.You will work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative team alongside a Business Analyst, Project Lead, Subject Matter Experts, and Quality Assurance Officers. Together, you will drive the development and implementation of innovative lab and IT solutions.About the roleAs an IT Labs Technical Engineer, you are responsible for the technical implementation and optimization of laboratory systems. You act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) within project teams and play a key role in designing, implementing, qualifying, and maintaining lab IT solutions.You contribute directly to improving data flows and operational efficiency within laboratory environments. In addition, you are actively involved in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure system stability and minimal downtime.Key responsibilitiesDesign and develop laboratory solutions and manage technical deployment in collaboration with external suppliersBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needsEnsure solutions are aligned with AHIT platforms and overall strategyDrive standardization and consistent ways of working across laboratory environmentsApply System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and IT best practices to deliver integration solutionsContribute to the continuous improvement of procedures and protocolsExecute management activities and maintain CMDB registrationsInvestigate incidents and problems, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actionsEvaluate and optimize laboratory systems to ensure quality, stability, and future readinessProvide on-floor support for IT-related lab activitiesMonitor project progress and maintain accurate status updates in project management toolsYour profileBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a related fieldMicrosoft certifications (MCSA/MCSE level)Understanding of ITIL principlesProficiency with Microsoft Office 365Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or chemical industry)Knowledge of GxP environments and validation requirementsStrong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to understand complex automated systemsProactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindsetStrong communication skills and a collaborative team attitudeFluency in English and preferably DutchCurrently residing near Boxmeer (relocation support is not provided)What we offerWe offer a truly global, dynamic, and challenging environment where digital excellence directly supports patient and animal health.
