For our Animal Health location in Boxmeer, we are looking for a:MES System Specialist Welcome to our teamOur Animal Health site in Boxmeer is part of a global network focused on the development, production, and delivery of high-quality animal health products, operating under strict regulatory standards (GxP).Within our manufacturing organization, digitalization and automation play a key role in enabling efficient, reliable, and compliant production processes. You will join a multidisciplinary team of IT, engineering, and manufacturing professionals who collaborate closely to support and optimize our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) landscape.The team is characterized by strong collaboration, technical expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset, ensuring our systems support business needs today and in the future.About the roleAs an MES System Specialist, you are responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and optimization of Manufacturing Execution Systems, with a strong focus on Körber’s PASX platform.You play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring system stability, enabling continuous improvements, and driving innovation in digital manufacturing. You act as a technical expert and trusted partner to stakeholders across IT, engineering, and production.This is a dynamic role where system expertise, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving come together to deliver high-impact solutions.Key responsibilitiesAnalyze and design information systems and processes related to MESSupport manufacturing by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutionsDrive continuous improvement through analysis, optimization, and innovation of MES processesDesign, deploy, and maintain Körber PASX MES solutions and integrationsDevelop and maintain system documentation, including SOPs, training materials, and user guidesPerform system testing, validation, and qualification activitiesInvestigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with GxP regulations and internal quality standardsMonitor system performance and proactively identify risks and improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with vendors on system upgrades, integrations, and enhancementsSupport end-users through training and on-floor assistanceParticipate in cross-functional projects aligned with business objectivesYour profileBachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Information Systems, or a related fieldExtensive experience in regulated industries (pharma, biotech, food, or similar)Proven hands-on experience with Körber PASX MES systems, including integrations (Level 2–4)Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, data flows, and system integrationsKnowledge of GxP environments, validation processes, and compliance requirementsExperience with industrial data platforms and protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Aveva PI, Kepware)Strong knowledge of databases and query languages (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)Understanding of OT/IT architectures (ISA-95 / ISA-99) and secure network designFamiliarity with system infrastructure concepts (e.g., load balancing, failover clusters)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex manufacturing environmentsExperience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationFluent in EnglishExperience with Agile methodologiesKnowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized applicationsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)Scripting skills (PowerShell or Python)What we offerWe offer a truly global, dynamic, and challenging environment where digital excellence directly supports patient and animal health.
