This is a terrific opportunity for a highly motivated individual to serve as a key team member on the US Ophthalmology marketing team and contribute to our scientific strategic development and key tactics for medical education. The ideal candidate for this role has a demonstrated record of strong strategic thinking, the ability to comprehend and translate complex scientific and clinical data, and a history of delivering results while working cross‑functionally and leading without authority.We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, U.S. Ophthalmology HCP Marketing. This is an exciting time for a talented and passionate marketing professional to join our launch team for our investigational novel treatments. This position is a hybrid work model and will report to the Director of US HCP Marketing, Scientific Strategy.Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:End-to-End Medical Education Management - Lead end-to-end execution of medical education initiatives and supporting materials (branded and unbranded), including digital, live, and hybrid formats.Campaign Development - Partner with Global Marketing, the Scientific AOR, and key enterprise stakeholders to develop and implement omnichannel education campaigns tailored to target audiences (e.g., retina specialists & clinical staff).Content Creation, Review & Deployment - Manage content creation and refinement in partnership with agencies—from concept through CRT review to deployment.Cross‑Functional Partnership – Partner with Global Marketing, MEE, Field Sales, Field Access, AoRs and L&D to support the planning, seamless integration & execution of an omnichannel Medical Education initiatives and related deliverables. Speaker Bureau Management – Build & maintain a speaker bureau for unbranded and branded medical education.Customer & Market Insights – Integrate customer insights, market research, and competitive intelligence into medical education needs assessment, planning, creation and execution.Innovation: Identify and champion innovation in the content, format and delivery channels (personal and non-personal/digital) of promotional medical education strategies and tactics for use across the portfolio.KPI Tracking – Identify, track and share out leading and lagging success metrics aligned with therapeutic area goals and in accordance with company standards and policies.Project, Agency & Budget Management – Manage project timelines, agile backlogs, agencies, vendors, and budgetsSales & Congress Engagement – Attend key sales meetings and national congresses, as neededCompliance & Standards – Operate in full compliance with our company policies and standardsOur U.S. marketing team has adopted an Agile Way of Working to be more adaptive and responsive to rapidly evolving customer needs and keep pace with the digital evolution in the marketplace. We are looking for someone who can work with urgency, is comfortable with an elevated level of inspection in a highly visible environment, and most importantly, can work collaboratively across the organization and beyond.Required Experiences:· Required: BA/BS· 3+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry· Strong project management skills· Proficiency in MS365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)· Familiarity with our company Systems and Platforms (VEEVA, Power BI)· Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills· Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills· Creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability in a regulated industryPreferred Experience and Skills:· Preferred: MBA· Experience in marketing and/or promotion and advertising· Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, critical thinking and planning skills· Demonstrated experience in budget managementOur Human Health Division maintains a “patient first, profits later” ideology.
