As part of our global team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues while developing and expanding your career as a member of the Animal Health Global Supplier Management “Technology Solutions” team.Position overview – Basic functions & ResponsibilitiesThe Procurement Senior Specialist is a professional with significant experience sourcing and negotiating the supply of goods and services including but not limited to Electronics, Metals, Plastics, Equipment, Packaging, and other direct materials and indirect services necessary to support one or more manufacturing locations. The successful candidate is responsible to operate in a matrix environment, serving as the procurement (sourcing and negotiation) point of contact for one or more manufacturing sites, as well as the development of global category sourcing strategy. This position works with the site and regional manufacturing leadership to understand key priorities, support critical negotiations, manage strategic vendors, and achieve critical key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement business. The role reports as part of the Technology Solutions team within Animal Health Global Supplier Management (AH-GSM) and may from time to time manage one or more contract employees (interns, short-term assignments). Ability to manage people, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with leadership are critical success factors.Primary Activities included, but are not limited to:Sourcing Strategy - Develop, execute, and implement sourcing strategies for goods and services under his/her responsibility. Liaise well across all AH-GSM, GP (Global Procurement) and business functions to ensure impacted direct materials are managed in line with the defined sourcing strategies.Sourcing Execution and Negotiation – Participate in the development of RFP/RFI/RFQ and assessment of bidders against objective and robust scorecards. Negotiate with prospective partners to secure favorable conditions for the business, leveraging market research, category insights, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for leverage. Secure appropriate contracts and/or supply agreements with partners to mitigate supply risks. Present strategy and supplier award decisions and apply for approval according to the AH-GSM process and requirements.Cost Management and Savings Delivery: Achieve cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment targets, including the development of a robust savings pipeline for categories under responsibility. Ensure proper reporting and documenting in accordance with the company policies and standards.Supplier Due Diligence and Consolidation: Ensure 100% completion of vendor screening requirements according to department and company policies, and identify high-risk / low impact suppliers for potential exit in favor of globally preferred partners. Partner with AH-GSM CoE Leads to convert local suppliers to global partners where possible, leveraging the most favorable conditions for the business.Stakeholder Management and Business Sponsorship: Liaise with MAHI Manufacturing Site, Regional, and Global Leads to inform and align category strategies. Partner with other AH-GSM CoE Leads to share best practices and capitalize on additional opportunities which may impact the MAHI manufacturing business.Performance - Deliver on agreed KPIs including, but not limited to Savings, Working Capital, Spend with Suppliers, Contract Spend, and Supplier Consolidations, in addition to other stakeholder business KPIs. Change Management - Adopt high quality change practices with customers and stakeholders, building and implementing an organization which is sustainable.People Management – Lead and motivate direct line employees to set and achieve KPIs, as well as influencing indirect reports, while being a champion for employee development, recognition, and continuous feedback.Performance will be evaluated on the basis of achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets as defined with the team lead, in addition to the demonstration of continuous improvement, learning, and stakeholder feedback.Required Education:• Bachelors degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related fieldRequired Skills and Experience:• Requires at least 5 years of sourcing experience in pharmaceutical, technology, or consumer industry with a strong background and knowledge of business analytics tools• Demonstrated procurement category management and sourcing strategy development• Highly capable and successful negotiator with strong vendor relationship management skills• Native or bilingual English language communication skills, both verbally and written, are requiredPreferred Skills and Experience:• French speaking and writing capability, at a business proficient level• Advanced Degree (Masters) in Business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.• Must be adaptable in dealing with ambiguous and complex environments.• Able to effectively lead work within varied cross functional teams to achieve client, Division, and Company goals.• Proficiency in Excel and all MS office tools– i.e. Pivot tables• Enforce compliance with all Global Procurement policies and procedures by using a data driven business case approach• Experience with SAP ATLAS including material management and master data maintenance• Experience with SAP ARIBA including supplier management, projects and savings, and contract workspa
