By leveraging cutting-edge design and process development capabilities, you will help accelerate the delivery of best-in-class medicines to patients globally, ultimately improving their lives.What You Will AchieveIn this role, you will:Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of various compounds and biologics to determine their properties during chemical syntheses, fermentation, or drug product developmentPerform analytical method lifecycle activities such as development, validation, and transfer activities for both small molecules and complex formulationsMaintain written records of all experimental work in compliance with GLP/GMP and departmental SOPsAssist in the maintenance and renewal of laboratory instruments, systems, or apparatus, and improve safe and effective working practicesAttend project team and brainstorming meetings to present data and apply technical skills to assignmentsWork under moderate supervision with regular review and identify activities to support work group/project team goalsContribute to the achievement of immediate work group goals and collaborate with other team membersPrioritize work to meet project deadlines and ensure participation and contribution as a team memberContinuously improve safe and effective working practices in the laboratory environmentResponsible for performing and troubleshooting analytical assays, while applying these methods across a board range of early and late-stage products in a cGMP environment.QualificationsMust HaveBA/BS with 3 to 5 years of experience performing biotherapeutics testing in a GMP environment.Master's Degree with 4 to 6 years of experience performing biotherapeutics testing in a GMP environment.Strong documentation skills and attention to detailExperience with method validationAbility to extract relevant information from scientific literatureProficiency in recording observations, facts, data, and conclusions during experimental work or cGMP investigationsSolid understanding of fundamental analytical chemistry, including functional group recognition and compound characterizationExperience using spectroscopic and chromatographic techniquesExperience in GMP laboratory operations and logisticsEffective interaction with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsNice to HaveUnderstanding of various scientific software or software used in pharmaceutical or production environmentsGood Laboratory Practices (part of GxP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (also cGMP) knowledgeProblem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on limited optionsInitiative and proactive approach to tasks and projectsExperience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTSPosition requires occasional light lifting and periods of standing, sitting, or walking.NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Position requires occasional off shift (evenings).Work Location Assignment: On Premise The annual base salary for this position ranges from $68,600.00 to $114,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
