Join our Sales & Marketing team with an unmatched depth of capabilities and help our customers solve some of the world’s toughest challenges.Location/Division Specific Information:The Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific strives to improve the management of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases by providing healthcare professionals with advanced diagnostics technologies and clinical expertise.Location: Washington, D.C. Metro AreaTravel: This is a field-based sales position requiring significant travel throughout the assigned territory. Candidates should reside within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to effectively support customer accounts and business development activities.A Day In The Life:Persuasively sell the concept of using a diagnostic test to targeted physicians and markets.Develop and grow market share based on established sales goals for territory.Train and educate medical office staff on how to accurately order and interpret test results.Work with laboratory counterparts to identify key targets and secure appointments for initial product presentations.Be accountable for territory ownership including target identification, account planning and accurate sales forecasting and sales results.Where requested, support Business Development Executives (BDE) to achieve the Area health economic sales goal by assisting with large system implementations and initiatives.Education:Bachelor's Degree required.Experience:3+ years sales experience, or equivalent experience.Success in medical sales, B2B technical sales, or military service.Established client base in the primary care market or knowledge of ACOs, IDNs, and Health SystemsExperience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM solutions.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesResults Driven: Consistently achieving results even under tough circumstances.Customer Focus: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.Committed: Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with intensity and passion.Plans & Aligns: Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with interpersonal goals.Communicates Cross-functionally: Developing and delivering communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Instills Trust: Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity.You must live in your geography or within a reasonable distance in major metro market areasNon-Negotiable Hiring Criteria: RequiredGoal-oriented with a growth mindset.Coachable with a willingness to learn, take direction, and win.Good communication and presentation skills.Knowledge and experience with business software applications (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and virtual communication tools (Webex, MS Teams, etc.)Valid driver's license and good driving record.Ability to travel throughout assigned territory, sometimes requiring overnight stays for team meetings.Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in District of Columbia is $70,300.00–$90,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
