We are committed to delivering exceptional customer and colleague experiences while enabling the success of every program we undertake.The Sr. Business Manager – Viral Vector Services is an experienced individual contributor responsible for supporting business management activities across customer programs and commercial portfolios. This role partners closely with commercial, operational, and functional teams to help ensure alignment between customer expectations, financial performance, and program execution.This position supports business operations at the intersection of commercial strategy, financial management, and customer program delivery, contributing to revenue forecasting, operational execution, and customer satisfaction across the Viral Vector Services network.How will you make an impact?As a Sr. Business Manager, you will support the successful execution of customer programs by helping drive financial accuracy, commercial coordination, and operational alignment. You will contribute to customer proposals, forecasting activities, and cross-functional collaboration efforts that improve predictability and customer experience.Your work will help strengthen execution consistency, support sustainable business growth, and enable effective delivery across customer programs and portfolios.What you will do:Business Management & Program SupportSupport business management activities for customer programs and commercial portfoliosPartner with cross-functional teams to align commercial objectives with operational executionAssist in tracking program performance metrics, risks, and business deliverablesSupport coordination of customer-related business activities and communicationsCustomer Proposals, Pricing & ContractingAssist in development of customer proposals, pricing analyses, and commercial documentationSupport contract execution, scope management, and change control activitiesHelp maintain pricing and proposal data within business systems and toolsFinancial Performance & ForecastingSupport revenue forecasting and financial tracking activities for assigned programs or accountsPartner with Finance and Operations teams to maintain accurate forecasting and reportingAssist with invoicing coordination, materials reconciliation, and financial data managementMaintain accurate data within Salesforce and related enterprise systemsCustomer & Stakeholder CoordinationBuild collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and customer teamsSupport alliance management activities, customer governance meetings, and reporting requirementsEscalate risks, issues, and opportunities appropriately to leadershipOperational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, consistency, and customer experiencePromote adoption of standard tools, templates, and business processesEnsure work is performed in alignment with quality, compliance, and governance expectationsCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with Program Management, Sales, Site Leadership, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teamsSupport execution activities that enable successful delivery of customer programsContribute to account planning, forecasting, and operational reviews as neededHow you will get here:EducationBachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or business discipline requiredMBA or advanced business degree preferredExperience5–8 years of experience in business management, commercial operations, finance, project/program management, or related fieldsExperience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, gene therapy, or CDMO environments preferredExperience working in cross-functional and matrixed organizations preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesUnderstanding of financial forecasting, commercial support, and business operations processesWorking knowledge of CDMO business operations and customer program environments preferredStrong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple prioritiesEffective interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to collaborate across functions and contribute within matrixed teamsAnalytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracyExperience using enterprise business systems such as Salesforce, planning tools, or project management platformsSelf-motivated, adaptable, and customer-focusedCompensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
