Who we are looking forAn experienced risk professional, who have worked in Financial Services industry or Investment banks in the risk management function. Looking to hire a seasoned risk manager who can support in implementation of the Risk Management framework for State Street India, in accordance with regulatory expectations and ERM policies and guidelines. You will help us build resilience and execute day to day deliverables at your best. Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible forAs an Officer in Enterprise Risk Management, you willSupport in driving effective risk governance within the State Street, India.As part of Enterprise Risk Management Team, primary responsibility will be risk oversight of business functions (First Line of Defense).Work with senior management within the ERM function to understand and manage enterprise and operational risks and assist in mitigating/reducing the risksProvide independent challenge from second line of defense to risk assessment programs performed by First Line of Defense teamsSupport in identification of emerging risk by monitoring/observing trends in key risk indicators/incident managementSupport the execution of risk programs and strategic risk projectsAssist in the review of quarterly risk reports, risk dashboards and India Risk Reports and assist in providing comments to the risk trendsFrom a second line of defense perspective, provide effective review, challenge and risk dialogue for better decision making and risk mitigation.Aggregate and monitor risk exposures across India. Escalate significant and above tolerance risks to India and Global Risk Committees.Apply State Street’s Operational Execution suite of risk program across India to deliver better risk outcomes.Coordinate with Business on risk mitigation efforts in response to high impact operational risk events, including investigation and advice on the design of effective remediation plans.Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity.High level of personal commitment to each task, can-do attitude, and a drive to deliver.Develop a good understanding of the business and organization as a foundation for effective advice and challenge.Proactive approach to problem solving, delivering results and finding better ways.What we value These skills will help you succeed in this roleAnalytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skillsExcellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel across the organization, including senior executives.Presentation skills. Ability to create and deliver clear, persuasive, well-structured presentations appropriate to the audience.Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills.Experience working in Risk Advisory practice with Big 4 firms would be an added advantage.Education & Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent.
