A career in in Fidelity's Data and AI  (FDAI group) group may be right for you!We are seeking a Software Engineer build and maintain Unified Customer Profile (UCP) platform in the UCP Platform Vitality Squad. You will apply a variety of cloud-native (AWS and Snowflake) technologies to develop pipelines to inject and publish data from and to other teams. This position is a critical element to delivering Fidelity’s promise of creating the best customer experiences in financial services.The Expertise we’re looking forBachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in a technology related field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)Oracle SQL, PLSQL development experienceKnowledge and understanding in other Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, Mysql etc.). Knowledge and experience in NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB, etc.) will be an added advantage.Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM)DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker)Knowledge and understanding of Messaging Technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS)Knowledge and experience / understanding in Java API developmentKnowledge of how to develop highly scalable distributed systems using Open-Source technologiesThe Skills that are Key to this roleThe Engineer is responsible for designing and developing of highly available, scalable and distributed customer data platformsGood understanding of Oracle database with hands-on PLSQL development experienceGood working knowledge on developing and debugging ETL resourcesKnowledge of Cloud Datawarehouse products like Snowflake is desirable.Knowledge and experience in NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB, etc.) and cloud services (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud) will be an added advantage.Experience with DevOps or CI/CD Pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.Hands-on experience building highly resilient, scalable, and efficient customer facing solutions on AWSProven knowledge of AWS via Associate, Professional, or Specialty Certification(s) a big plusKnowledge of financial markets will be desirable.You will need to demonstrate the ability to recognize the urgency of issues and take appropriate steps to mitigate risks.Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environmentExcellent communication skills, both through written and verbal channelsExcellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organizationStandout colleague and able to mentor junior team membersThe Value You DeliverDevelop code in Oracle and other streaming RDBMS databases including debugging existing code and designing and executing unit tests.Develop containerized, cloud native applications.Create, update, and maintain user documentation for software-based projects and products.Interact effectively with business partners to understand business requirements and assist in creation of technical requirements.Participate in architecture, technical design, and product implementation discussions.How Your Work Impacts the OrganizationYou will be joining the UCP Platform Vitality team in the Unified Customer Profile (UCP) platform team with the vision to create/ maintain the frameworks and pipelines necessary to build a cloud-ready platform and to optimize core capabilities that will enable scalability, efficiency, and speed-to-market for adding new features to the platform.
