Employment Type:Full timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:Posting Job DescriptionAt Saint Francis Hospital, the level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) consists of 28 beds. Preterm and term neonates in need of additional medical and surgical management and highly specialized care are admitted to the unitWhat you will do:Attend births and provide care for infants with medical complications directly after birthMonitor the health of infants suffering from medical issues, such as prematurity or congenial defectsEducate new parents on the care of their infant, including basic infant care, breastfeeding, and safetyContributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positivelyCommunicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family membersDemonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferredLicensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in ConnecticutCertification: BLS CPR.
