Operations Manager

This position plays a key role in overseeing the daily activities of the warehouse crew to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service to customers. Role and Responsibilities: As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the warehouse operations team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and meeting client expectations. You will prioritize safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while overseeing warehouse activities and managing staff. Negotiate rates with common carrier representatives.Manage the warehouse site with a strong focus on safety and operational efficiency.Write and balance daily bank deposits and submit them to corporate.Create and transmit daily work logs to corporate headquarters.Audit daily labor and billing reports to ensure accuracy.Ensure customer needs are met on a daily basis and resolve any issues promptly.Document and resolve customer service or associate-related issues daily.Ensure all associates follow warehouse policies, including safety regulations.Conduct weekly safety meetings and ensure employee participation.Assist in managing the site and departmental budget effectively.Schedule associate shifts based on customer requirements and operational needs.Interview, hire, and train new associates as needed.Supervise accurate data entry for all warehouse services performed.Complete daily closeout tasks, including cash balancing, data uploads, and payroll record administration.Required Skills and Experience: 3+ years of management and leadership experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.Strong organizational and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and direct a workforce in a dynamic warehouse environment.Experience managing budgets, reading P&L statements, and preparing management reports.Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Excellent aptitude for estimating rates and performing mental calculations in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management.BS/BA Degree or Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience is a plus.Proven ability to provide high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients.Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary: $75,000 annually.Quarterly performance-based incentives.Comprehensive benefits package after 30 days, including major medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).Short-term and long-term disability (STD, LTD) coverage.Generous paid time off and holidays.About Capstone Logistics: Capstone Logistics is part of the critical infrastructure segment within the transportation and logistics industry, providing essential supply chain services.
