This rapidly growing 394-bed community hospital is located in Pineville, NC, just 14 miles south of Charlotte near the South Carolina border.This role is part of a highly skilled critical care team dedicated to delivering world-class, comprehensive care to critically ill and injured patients across multiple specialty intensive care units.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide daily management and documentation of complex, critically ill medical and surgical patientsDeliver care across multiple specialty ICUs, including:Cardiac Medical ICUCardiothoracic Surgical ICUMedical ICUSurgical ICUAdmit and manage patients directly from the operating room and interventional cardiac labManage post-operative cardiac surgery patients and hemodynamically complex casesCollaborate closely with intensivists and interdisciplinary care teamsUtilize and manage mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., IABP, Impella)Perform procedures such as central venous and arterial line placement (preferred)QualificationsRequired:Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) programNurse Practitioners:Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing PracticeCurrent ACNP certification from a nationally recognized certifying bodyPhysician Assistants:Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)Active North Carolina licenseNorth Carolina DEA certificationBLS and ACLS certificationsStrong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skillsPreferred:Postgraduate ICU fellowshipPrior ICU experience as an NP or PACandidates with significant, recent ICU RN experience will be consideredExperience with invasive procedures (central lines, arterial lines)Work Environment & Schedule100% inpatient, adult patient population24/7 coverage with a shift-based model13-hour shifts:Days: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PMNights: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AMIncludes weekends and holidaysSite includes an Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Fellowship programCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary with performance incentivesEmployer-paid benefitsCME allowanceAbout Atrium HealthAtrium Health is a leading, innovative healthcare system with more than 900 care locations.
