Job DescriptionUniversity of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse to work on 8NE's ACE Outpatient clinic. WORK SCHEDULE100% FTEMonday - Friday, 8 hour variable shifts​DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION8NE/Blood Marrow Transplant/Oncology, known as the Fred Hutch Cancer Center hospital within a hospital, is 20-bed unit for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant (bone marrow, peripheral or cord blood transplant) and immunotherapy. The unit also has a 6 bed clinic to handle outpatient symptom management and outpatient infusion.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESWill fill the break RN role as needed in the clinicWork closely with our APP and leadership team from 8NE and Fred Hutch to create a cohesive program across both campusesPerforms specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse ManagerAssumes staff assignments and preceptor responsibilityProvides leadership and support for clinic that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and othersREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN); applicable experience may substitute for education.Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience and/or leadership experiencePassionate about program development and educationStrong leadership and clinical skills with the ability to manage complex care coordinationCurrent license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of WashingtonCurrent or recent Oncology nursing experience in an outpatient settingONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy CertificateABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKEUW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
