We are expanding our Talent Acquisition team and seeking a highly strategic Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruitment for senior-level, critical leadership roles and additional positions as assigned. This is an opportunity to partner directly with executive leadership and shape the organization’s talent strategy while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing TA function.
This position requires onsite presence in Herndon VA 5 days a week. Candidates must reside in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area.
As an experience recruiter, you will own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for leadership, and hard-to-fill roles across Corporate and key business units. You will function as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, driving proactive talent strategies and delivering high-impact hiring outcomes.
In this role, you will provide:
Talent Strategy & Search SupportLead full-cycle executive searches for Director, VP, and mission-critical leadership roles within defense and federal programs. Partner with senior leadership to define hiring strategies aligned to contract requirements, program growth, and recompete efforts. Conduct talent mapping across government contractors, federal agencies, and military leadership pipelines.Stakeholder & Leadership PartnershipServe as a strategic advisor to executives and hiring leaders. Facilitate intake sessions, calibration discussions, and executive-level debriefs. Provide market intelligence, compensation insights, and competitor talent trends.Candidate Engagement & AssessmentConduct in-depth interviews focused on leadership competencies, cultural alignment, and organizational impact. Deliver a high-touch, white-glove candidate experience for senior talent. Manage and nurture relationships with passive candidates and long-term talent pipelines.Offer Negotiation & ClosingLead complexes offer negotiations in partnership with HR and leadership. Influence and guide decision-making to successfully close top-tier candidates. Operational Excellence & ReportingMaintain accurate and confidential records in the ATS (SuccessFactors or similar) Track and report on recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, slate quality, and diversity outcomes. Ensure an elevated level of discretion and professionalism throughout the search process. Market Intelligence & Continuous ImprovementStay informed on industry trends, competitor hiring activity, and talent movements. Contribute to the evolution of senior level recruiting best practices within the organization.
Key Skills & Required Qualifications
U.S. CitizenshipBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including leadership hiringExperience supporting federal or government contracting environmentsExperience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), such as SuccessFactors or similar platformsProven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and executivesDemonstrated success sourcing and engaging passive candidatesProven ability to develop and implement creative sourcing strategies (e.g., online engagement, social media, networking)Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work onsite in Herndon VA approximately 2 days per week, with flexibility to increase based on business needs.Willingness to participate in offsite career fairs as needed. (up to 10% annually)
