Associate Test & Evaluation Lab TechCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking an Associate Test & Evaluation Lab Tech to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri or Saint Charles, Missouri. This position will provide test and evaluation technician support in either a lab or an aircraft production environment while working alongside production operations personnel. The main responsibilities include fabricating and maintaining the instrumentation system, to include installing a high volume of sensors and associated wiring onto aircraft parts and assemblies per engineering requirements. Sensor types primarily include Strain Gages and Accelerometers. Other types include Thermocouples, RTDs, Pressure Transducers, etc.Processes require coordination with Instrumentation Operations Engineers and Design Build Manufacturing Engineers, ability to interpret engineering drawings, locating, surface prep, hand sanding, cleaning, handling, hazardous materials such as solvents and cleaners, adhesives, sealants, wire fabrication, electrical terminations, soldering, crimping, wire routing, continuity checks, labeling, and sealing.  Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and wiring is required.Accessibility may require working for periods while standing, kneeling, working from stair ladders, mobile lift platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or supported by overhead support systems.  Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection and hard toe shoes are requiredPosition Responsibilities Include:Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologiesDesigns, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologiesCoordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilitiesConducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviewsTroubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problemsCoordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairsWorks under general directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is requiredThis position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship onlyAssociate’s degree or higher, a technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experienceExperience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipmentExperience interpreting electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and definitionPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Level 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceActive U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
