Are you driven to create the unimaginable?  Are you passionate about addressing human performance within the design and development of cutting-edge aerospace systems?  Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Human Engineer to join our Human Engineering team in Denver, CO working on the front end of the next generation of Space Mission Systems technology.As a Human Factors Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and integration of complex aerospace systems, ensuring that all components function cohesively to meet user needs and operational requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and hardware specialists, to create systems that are not only technically robust but also intuitive and user-friendly, enhancing overall efficiency and user satisfaction. Position Responsibilities :Apply Human Engineering knowledge and principles to the analysis, design, and evaluation of complex systemsDefine system performance requirements to ensure safe and successful human operation of physical, functional, and program interfaces for all system operatorsApply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of complex systemsDevelop and implement research methodologies and analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypesApply a knowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD-411F) to meet program requirementsCoordinate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate HE considerations into the overall system design, development, and production.Conduct user engagement activities throughout the design process via interviews, focus groups, field studies, etc.Occasional business travel and after-hours support may be required.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final Post-Start is required.This position requires ability to obtain special program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):  Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Cognitive Psychology or other Human Engineering related field of study.1+ years of work experience in Human Engineering or an equivalent combination of technical education and experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):   Level 2 - Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience or Master’sLevel 3 - Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience or Master’s and 3+ yearsLevel 4 - Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years’ experience or Master’s and 7+ years Associate Certification from Board Certification in Professional Ergonomics or equivalent educationUnderstanding of Human System Integration (HSI) in the defense acquisition processKnowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STL-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-2525, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD 411F, DoDI 5000.95, and JSSG-2010)Experience using Astro Space UX Design SystemAbility to derive Human Engineering requirementsExperience supporting defense programsExperience in program documentation of the HE processes and products in a format consistent with US Military Data Item Descriptions (e.g. Human Engineering Program Plan, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Operator, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Maintainer, Human Engineering Test Plan, Human Engineering Test Report, et. al)Experience with the user interface software prototyping toolsExperience with Usability softwareKnowledge in Human Perception and CognitionExperience with Human Performance ModelingExperience in workload assessments and situation awareness assessments such as NASA TLXExperience in conducting tasks analyses and mapping user workflowAbility to evaluate designs against Human Readiness Levels (HRLs)Experience in Agile DevelopmentPrevious experience developing style guides and implementing UI design tenetsExperience with Model Based Systems EngineeringTypical Education/Experience:  Level 2 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Level 3  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.Level 4 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equi
