CSD reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.What You Will Do:This position will be responsible for supporting Corporate Development / M&A / Strategy projects. The candidate must be a highly analytical, structured thinker with a strong financial foundation and must have the ability to take initiative, set strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects / tasks and independently drive for results.Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by assisting with financial modeling, and executing due diligenceSupport the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level from detailed analysesMonitor and evaluate and key peers including tracking recent events, analyzing financial statements and preparing earnings summariesSupport portfolio analysis, which involves assessing capabilities and financial metrics against strategy and market opportunitiesConduct market, competitive, and financial analyses to assess trends, threats, or opportunitiesSupport the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategiesSupport integration or separation planning activities for businesses undergoing acquisition or divestitureBalance multiple projects while providing clear thinking and excellent attention to detail in a dynamic work environment Qualifications You Must Have:BA/BS required with 2-3 years of work experience. MBA and/or advanced degree from a nationally recognized program.Prior transactional or diligence experience (at an investment bank, corporate development role, or top-tier consulting firm)Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)Ability to think pragmatically – not just theoretically – and drive execution of conceptsProven analytical and financial modeling skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required Qualifications We Prefer:Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to work with cross-functional teams and connect the dots between multiple data sourcesOutstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilitiesCreativity and strong oral and written communication skillsFamiliarity with financial data services (S&P Capital IQ, Factset) a plusStrong ability and/or experience in developing relationships; able to develop credibility and earn respect with individuals at all organizational levelsAbility to quickly identify, understand and manage organizational impacts of business strategy and process changePreferably a base of aerospace and defense domain knowledgePlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role.This position is classified as:Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
