Job Description SummaryThe Aviation Component Service Center (ACSC) Finance Analyst will play a critical role in driving operational and financial performance by partnering with Operations leaders to improve productivity, forecasting, and key metrics across the repair shop. They will develop expertise on the ACSC P&L and Balance Sheet to communicate financial results to respective business partners and drive key decision making on future strategy. They will leverage FLIGHT DECK principles to execute on priorities and improve processes.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesOwn monthly close processes to ensure books are accurate and complete (including journal entries and account reconciliations)Prepare monthly reporting packages that include financial statements and comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reportingPartner with site operating leaders to drive productivity & cost out initiativesSupport the financial forecasting cycles of the business and develop standard work to improve forecasting accuracyDefine, create and maintain key decision support review tools, including financial dashboards, data populations, and detailed analytical excel-based reportingDevelop ad hoc analysis and lead simplification & cost out initiatives as requiredLeverage FLIGHT Deck principles to drive an environment of continuous improvementHandle complex tasks or problems that impact the function - offer solutions to problems and provide recommendationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, or Accounting, or related field; from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant finance/accounting experience)Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate finance/accounting, preferably in manufacturing, MRO, or aerospace; (Or Financial Management Program (FMP) Graduate)Hands-on ownership of monthly close, reconciliations, and management reportingDesired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Established project management skills.Demonstrated experience executing monthly close (journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations) and preparing monthly reporting packages with financial statements and KPI reporting.Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills; able to handle complex/ambiguous issues and provide clear recommendations.Additional InformationGE Aerospace offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
