HVAC Maintenance Technician

We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.Our animal vaccine facility in Millsboro, Delaware is experiencing dynamic growth in order to support the global poultry production supply chain. The site has been selected by our Company's Animal Health Division to be the Center of Excellence for Poultry and Freeze Dried Vaccines and therefore, we are looking for high energy, novel thinking individuals to support the site’s long term journey. We have a current opening for an HVAC Maintenance Technician and this position will be a critical element for building a high performance, proactive organization. A signing bonus will be part of the total compensation package to insure we attract the highest caliber of talent possible.Job Responsibilities:Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process control and environmental control HVAC systemsOperational performance & regulatory compliance owner for all site HVAC equipment. Classes of equipment include Ultra-Cold Freezers, Process ChillersProvides timely feedback and coordination to site customers regarding the status of HVAC systemEnsures appropriate spare parts inventories are established and maintainedSupport investigations resulting from abnormal equipment performanceActively supports safety initiatives including shop floor audits, lock-out/tag-out, line break, and confined space permittingProvides training to others, as requiredResponsible for working as part of an inclusive, high performance team to achieve site mission, vision, and goals through efficient and safe operation of equipment and compliance with Good Manufacturing PracticesEducation:High School Diploma (required)A.S. degree in a technical discipline (preferred)Required Experience and Skills:Two (2)+ years experience working with refrigeration equipment.Five (5)+ years’ experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.Experience with general plumbing and pipefitting work.Experience with electrical controls for HVACR systems.Ability to read and interpret blue-prints/schematics in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics or mechanical systemsValid driver’s licenseUniversal refrigerant license required.Must be able to meet all physical requirements associated with this job, including but not limited to: lifting/carrying up to 50lbs, working from ladders and elevated platforms.Participate in the on-call rotation. Experience working within OSHA General Industry standards including hot work and lockout tag out. Preferred Experience and Skills:Biotech / pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing industry experience.Experience with -70 Celsius Ultra Cold Freezers, Freeze Driers and Liquid Nitrogen equipment.Experience with gas furnaces and gas heaters.Experience in Biopharmaceutical processing equipment including freeze driers, ultra-cold freezers and incubators.Working knowledge of an automated building management system (Siemens and JCI)Experience supporting a fast paced manufacturing environment is an advantage.Applicants should actively support, participate and embrace an empowered team culture and have excellent communication skillsApplicant should have previously demonstrated strong team skills, flexibility, motivation, ability to troubleshoot/problem solve, with a strong emphasis around safety and compliance practices.Proficient with CMMS utilizationExperience with chilled water systems – (Move to Preferred)Journeyman Card or Master HVACR LicenseExperience with walk-in coolers or walk-in freezers#MSJRRequired Skills:Accountability, Accountability, Adaptability, Building Performance, Chilled Water Systems, Climate Control, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Electrical System Troubleshooting, Global Manufacturing, GMP Compliance, Healthcare Innovation, HVAC Systems, Hydraulics, Instrumentation, Interpret Electrical Drawings, Lockout Tagout, Maintenance Scheduling, Mechanical Troubleshooting, Plumbing, Pneumatic Systems, Preventive Maintenance, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Engineering, Quality Performance, Safety Compliance, Safety Procedures {+ 3 more}Preferred Skills:Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HEREUS and Puerto Rico Residents Only:Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities.
