Job DescriptionCalling all health economists!We are recruiting for a new Health Economics Manager (Senior Specialist), based in Moorgate, London. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest and most active HTA & Outcomes Research teams and to help secure national access to innovative medicines and vaccines.The successful candidate will lead and deliver high-quality health economic analyses to support national access to medicines and vaccines, ensuring strong submissions to UK HTA bodies (e.g. NICE, SMC, JCVI) as part of a cross-functional team.What you will do:HTA & Value AssessmentDevelop and write economic sections of HTA and vaccine submissionsBuild and validate cost-effectiveness and budget impact modelsEnsure clarity, robustness, and quality of economic evidenceManage external vendors producing models or analysesRepresent the company in HTA meetings and advisory settingsContribute to submission strategy and resolve technical challengesCross-functional & Global CollaborationWork closely with UK, global, and external stakeholdersInput into clinical trial design and global model developmentAlign with pricing, medical, and market access teamsCommunicate risks, opportunities, and evidence needsEvidence GenerationSupport studies to address evidence gaps (incl. real-world data)Contribute to systematic reviews, NMAs, and methodological researchGenerate economic evidence across a product’s lifecycleLifecycle & Strategic SupportAssess pipeline products for HTA risks and opportunitiesSupport launch planning and market access strategyContribute to cross-functional planning and horizon scanningCapability BuildingMaintain expertise in health economics and HTA methodsSupport team knowledge development and best practiceKey Skills & FocusStrong health economic modelling and HTA expertiseClear, concise scientific communicationStakeholder collaboration (internal & external)Strategic thinking across product lifecycleQualifications, Skills & Experience Required: Master's degree in Health Economics or related discipline Strong experience in some or all of economic modelling, evidence synthesis, outcomes research, HTA dossier preparation and responding to feedback and clarifications from HTA agenciesKnowledge of NICE methods and processesUnderstanding of the NHS Competencies/Skills:Excellent communication skills (verbal and written as well as presentation skills) Quantitative and statistical literacy; comfortable working with complex datasets and assumptions; excellent analytical skillsWorking collaboratively in a matrix organisationStrong organisational and prioritisation skills across multiple concurrent projectsProven ability to lead end‑to‑end HTA projects to tight timelines and high qualityWhat we offer: The opportunity to be involved in a broad range of therapy areas and a large volume of submission workHigh levels of autonomy and ownership in developing HTA submission dossiers in-houseInvolvement in the end-to-end HTA work, from clinical trial design to post-HTA approvalBeing part of a global organization and collaborate with colleagues around the worldHave the chance to influence global and local decision making that impacts the lives of thousands of peopleA supportive and positive company cultureProfessional development and training opportunitiesYour role at our company is integral to helping the world meet new breakthroughs that affect generations to come, and we’re counting on your skills and inventiveness to help make meaningful contributions to global medical advancement.We are proud to be a company that embraces the value of bringing diverse, talented, and committed people together.
