Our teams contribute to breakthrough innovations in chromatography, analytical chemistry, and laboratory workflows, helping customers generate reliable results every day.We foster a culture built on scientific excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, where every employee can see the impact of their work and contribute to meaningful innovation.Job OverviewWe are looking for a Chromatography Scientist to join our Product Development team and contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of next-generation ion chromatography (IC) and liquid chromatography (LC) technologies.In this role, you will design and execute laboratory experiments, evaluate product performance, analyze complex datasets, and contribute to the development of innovative chromatography systems, consumables, and application workflows. Working at the intersection of R&D, applications, and product development, you will help ensure that new technologies deliver reliable, high-quality results for customers worldwide.This is an excellent opportunity for scientists who enjoy hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, troubleshooting, and transforming experimental results into meaningful product improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute laboratory studies supporting the development and validation of chromatography systems, consumables, and workflowsPerform experiments under real-world application conditions, primarily supporting food and environmental analysis applicationsEvaluate product performance and determine whether systems meet customer and application requirementsAnalyze chromatographic datasets and generate scientifically sound conclusions and recommendationsInvestigate technical issues and identify opportunities to improve product performance, robustness, and reliabilityPrepare technical reports, validation protocols, and scientific documentation while ensuring data integrity and traceabilityCollaborate with R&D, Product Management, Applications, and other cross-functional teamsCommunicate scientific findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance and customer experienceExperience and QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific fieldHands-on experience with ion chromatography (IC), liquid chromatography (LC), or related analytical techniquesExperience in analytical method development, troubleshooting, and data interpretationFamiliarity with data analysis and statistical evaluation toolsSkills and CompetenciesStrong analytical thinking and scientific problem-solving skillsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot chromatography system performance issuesStructured approach to experimental design and data interpretationStrong documentation and technical writing skillsAbility to independently plan and execute laboratory activitiesStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary R&D environmentHigh level of ownership, attention to detail, and quality focusPreferred QualificationsExperience with validation or verification of analytical methods, systems, or workflowsUnderstanding of validation principles such as precision, accuracy, linearity, robustness, and reproducibilityKnowledge of food, environmental, or industrial analytical applicationsExperience with LC-MS or advanced detection technologiesExposure to regulated environments (ISO, GLP, or similar)What we offerAnnual performance bonus and additional financial benefitsComprehensive health package, including private health, life and accident insuranceWellbeing support for employees and their family members, including mental health consultations, health check-ups, vaccinations, and on-site health initiativesOpportunities for professional growth through internal training, access to Thermo Fisher e-University, and continuous developmentThe opportunity to work in a global, innovation-driven organization and collaborate with international teamsDaily benefits such as subsidized meals, gym access, and company transportationAn inclusive and supportive culture, with team events and community initiatives2 additional paid volunteering days per yearWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
