Transition Management (TM) is a strategic capability enabling clients to efficiently risk-manage complex portfolio restructurings, with increasing integration across the broader Investment Management and Markets ecosystem.Role OverviewThe Global Head of Transition Management Sales is a new, senior distribution leadership role within the Client Business Organization (CBO). This highly visible position is responsible for defining, executing, and scaling the global TM sales strategy across regions.The role requires a seasoned sales leader to drive revenue growth, build and lead a global sales team, and activate the firm’s broader distribution platform to capture market opportunities in Transition Management. There will also be an element of direct sales responsibilities while the team is being built out.Why This Role MattersTransition Management is a strategically important growth area. This role is critical in establishing global leadership, driving revenue growth, and integrating TM into the broader institutional offering.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the global Transition Management sales strategyOwn and deliver on global revenue targetsBuild out, develop and lead a multi-regional sales teamAct as primary interface with global Client Coverage Group for all things TM-relatedDrive alignment with client coverage teams to originate new opportunitiesPartner across Investment Management and Global MarketsImplement sales governance, reporting, and pipeline disciplineLeadership & SkillsStrong leadership and people development capabilitiesAbility to influence senior stakeholdersCommercial mindset with strong execution focusPersonal AttributesCollaborative and relationship-drivenComfortable operating in a global matrix organizationResults-oriented with strong ownership mentalityKey Qualifications15+ years of institutional sales or distribution experience and ability to build and maintain client relationships with key decision makers Proven track record of leading global sales teamsStrong understanding of institutional clients and trading/portfolio solutionsExperience across Investment Management and/or Markets environmentsAbility to communicate feedback from clients and prospects back into the overall organization to improve delivery of solutions and improve the overall client experienceEducation & Preferred QualificationsUndergraduate degree required with preferenceMinimum of 10 years experience in sales/sales management capacitiesCFA designation preferred but not requiredFCA RegistrationFamiliarity with Salesforce CRM software packageAdditional requirementsUp to 50% travel requiredAbout State StreetAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
