Club teams are student-led by Wake Forest University students and manage the team. Club Sports programming promotes student development, positive co-curricular experiences, and positive representation of the university. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply.Currently recruiting: Men's RugbyWomen's RugbyCyclingSoftballTennisEssential Functions:Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in the sport assigned.Manage and supervise sport activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.Work with the members of the club to plan and put in place instructional goals and objectives to ensure the overall development of student athletesEstablish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students’ athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis.Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.Communication with constituents, parents/alumni, team doctor, Sport Programsdepartment, and vendors to ensure team is well supportedPerform other duties as assigned by the Sport Programs CoordinatorOther Functions:Complete club sport trainings or University trainings when requiredRequired Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Requires rules knowledge and regulations of league and requirementsPrevious experience as a player or coachAttend practices and games from late August - AprilAdditional Job DescriptionTime Type RequirementPart timeNote to Applicant:This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance.
