Coordinates with stakeholders, allocates resources, drives technical excellence, and creates alignment between business goals and technical solutions to ensure continuous improvement of digital engineering capabilities within the organization.Additional Responsibilities: Oversees digital engineering projects and ensures successful delivery within scope, budget, and timelineContributes to the formulation of long-term plans, technology adoption strategies, and innovation initiatives to drive digital transformationLeverages expertise to guide and provide insights to the team, ensuring the use of best practices, optimizing development processes, and resolving technical challengesCollaborates with senior leadership to define the digital engineering strategy and roadmap aligned with business goalsParticipates in the design and architecture of digital solutions, collaborating with architects and senior engineersEngages with key stakeholders, including business leaders, clients, and partners, to understand their needs, gather requirements, and manage expectationsEstablishes and maintains quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality digital solutionsDrives continuous improvement initiatives within the digital engineering function, identifying areas for enhancement, implementing process improvements, and optimizing development workflowsLeads a team of digital engineers, provides guidance and mentorship, and supports to drive their professional growthRequired Qualifications:7+ years of software development experience3+ years of experience with Node.js and / or cloud engineering experience3+ years of experience directing or managing engineering teams including performance growth, capacity planning, and other related management tasksPreferred Qualifications:AWS experienceProduction on-call management experience (managing rotations and on call systems)Hands on experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with engineering teamsExperience bridging gaps between technical teams to improve collaboration and deliveryCollaborating with architecture stakeholders to define and drive technical decisionsExperience leveraging generative AI tools to accelerate software development workflows Education:Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.  Our people fuel our future.
