This role ensures equipment stability, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency to support high-volume manufacturing (HVM).The position drives equipment reliability, defect reduction, and productivity improvement, while partnering closely with Process Engineering (PEE), Production, and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities1. Equipment Ownership & ReliabilityOwn end-to-end performance of Diffusion equipment across F11Drive equipment uptime, MTBF/MTTR, and overall reliability to meet HVM targetsLead preventive and predictive maintenance strategy developmentEnsure rapid troubleshooting, containment, and recovery for equipment issuesManage tool lifecycle, including installation, qualification, and decommissioning2. Manufacturing Performance & Yield SupportPartner with PEE and Production teams to ensure process stability and yield performanceDrive defect reduction and excursion prevention initiativesSupport technology ramp, process transfer, and capacity expansionEnsure equipment readiness to meet production output and cycle time targets3. Continuous Improvement & Cost OptimizationLead productivity improvement initiatives (e.g., labor efficiency, tool utilization)Optimize maintenance strategy, spare parts management, and cost structureIdentify and implement automation and digitalization opportunitiesDrive standardization and best practice deployment across sites4. Quality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with EHS, quality systems, and internal/external audit requirementsProactively identify and mitigate risks impacting equipment or process stabilityLead containment and prevention actions for major equipment-related incidentsEnforce adherence to engineering standards and operational discipline5. Leadership & Organization ManagementLead M1 managers and engineering teams within the Diffusion moduleDevelop team capability, including technical depth and leadership pipelineManage resource allocation, prioritization, and succession planningAct as key interface with cross-functional teams (PEE, Production, Facilities, Vendors)Key DeliverablesSustained improvement in diffusion equipment uptime and reliabilityReduction in defectivity and excursion rateImproved equipment productivity and utilizationSuccessful support of technology ramp and capacity readinessStrong safety and quality performance with zero critical incidentsQualificationsBachelor’s or above in Engineering (EE / ME / Chemical Engineering or related field)Strong experience in Diffusion equipment (e.g., furnace, RTP, implant-related systems preferred)Proven leadership experience in semiconductor HVM equipment engineeringStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilitiesPreferred AttributesStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skillsProven track record in driving operational and reliability improvementsExperience in technology ramp and multi-site alignmentEffective communication and decision-making capabilityAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
