You’ll have the chance to combine financial rigor, customer focus, process improvement, and strategic thinking in a role where your contributions are visible and valued.What You’ll GainIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:Influence high-impact business decisions across GE Aerospace Defense Engines and Services programsGain broad cross-functional exposure by partnering with engineering, supply chain, finance, and program managementBuild deeper expertise in government contracting and defense proposals, including the full RFP lifecycleStrengthen executive-level business acumen through risk identification, deal analysis, and cost-based decision supportLead process improvement and simplification efforts using lean principlesDevelop customer-facing experience with major U.S. defense stakeholders and audit agenciesGrow your visibility as a strategic contributor in a role that combines analytics, collaboration, and ownershipKey ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Product Cost Estimator, you will:Partner with engineering, supply chain, finance, and program management teams to develop and support cost estimates using long-term business valuation projections and other relevant inputsPerform analytical reviews of historical cost data from multiple internal systems to develop robust cost estimatesAnalyze business data and prepare comprehensive cost analysis reports that support proposal strategy and decision-makingIdentify, assess, and clearly communicate deal risks and opportunities to deal factory managementSupport cost estimating audits with internal and external audit teams, including ownership of follow-up actions and findings as appropriateDrive a culture of continuous improvement through lean principles and practical process enhancementsIdentify and lead cost estimating process improvements, simplification efforts, and adoption of best practicesSupport the full RFP lifecycle, including proposal submission, fact-finding, and negotiations with internal and external customersEvaluate cost bases to improve forecast accuracy and help accelerate proposal cyclesBuild expertise in the Defense Engines and Systems businessThis role is available in Evendale Ohio or can be hybrid or remote US Only.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited college or university or related field.Minimum of 5- 8 years of experience in Data Analytics, risk management, accounting, finance, sourcing, government contracting, or a related fieldAdvanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and evaluate complex spreadsheets and analyze large, multi-source datasetsPreferred QualificationsWe’re especially interested in candidates who bring:Experience working with DCMA, DCAA, or similar government agenciesStrong ability to understand customer needs and explain complex estimating methodologies clearly to internal and external stakeholdersProven critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skillsExperience in Big 4 or consultingDemonstrated success leading programs, projects, or process improvement initiativesStrong planning, documentation, and execution skillsSolid project management capabilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionallyThe ability to anticipate risks, identify issues early, and drive resolutionAdaptability and resilience through changing business conditionsUnderstanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)A strong lean and continuous improvement mindsetThe base pay range for this position is $119,000.00 - 158,000.00 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
