The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to ensure efficient and accurate production of parts. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, programming languages, and machining processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).Job DescriptionRole Overview:Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations per requirements of Machining Process Engineers.Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create accurate machine instructions.Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.Document and maintain records of programming activities and machine setups.Incorporate guidance as dictated by process owners on cutting tools and toolpath strategy.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of CNC programming experience (or a minimum high school diploma/GED with an additional 4+ years of CNC programming experience)3+ years of experience in NC programming of lathes, mills, 5-axis mill-turn, and turn-mill machining centers for machining aerospace super alloysPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Siemens NX programming and proficiency with Siemens NX for CAM desiredSkills in Renishaw and Siemens probing macrosFamiliarity with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Okuma machine controlsSkills in custom macro programmingAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programsEstablished project management skillsHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learnTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructivelyFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committedProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerWhether we are manufacturing components for our engines, driving innovation in fuel and noise reduction, or unlocking new opportunities to grow and deliver more productivity, our GE Aerospace teams are dedicated and making a global impact.
