Through scientific exchange with Thought Leaders (TLs), specialists, and healthcare professionals (HCPs), the role contributes to the generation of medical insights related to disease areas, clinical practice, and evolving treatment landscapes. From pre‑launch through post‑launch phases, this position supports appropriate product understanding and use by facilitating high‑quality scientific dialogue and compliant medical engagement.役割 (Roles & responsibilities)Field medical activities in align with unified brand planField Medical ActivitiesPlan and execute field medical activities in alignment with the Medical Strategy and Unified Brand Plan within the cardiovascular franchise.Scientific Exchange & Insight GenerationEngage in high quality, two way scientific discussions with TLs, specialists, and HCPs to generate insights on disease areas, treatment landscape, and unmet medical needs.Conduct scientific and clinical dialogue based on disease and product profiles to support launch preparation and life cycle management (LCM) activities.Insight Analysis & Internal CollaborationAnalyze and summarize insights collected from field interactions and appropriately share them with internal stakeholders, including the Medical Department and relevant cross functional teams (e.g., Commercial).Contribute to refinement of medical strategies and support activities for appropriate post launch information dissemination.Cross functional & Global CollaborationCollaborate with the Medical Lead, global teams, and partner companies to support the execution of field medical activities aligned with area and development strategies.Medical Information & ComplianceRespond to unsolicited medical inquiries from TLs, specialists, and HCPs with scientifically accurate, balanced, and compliant information in accordance with Japanese regulations and company policies.Clinical Development & ISR SupportProvide insights to clinical development teams regarding study feasibility within the therapeutic area, based on understanding of the medical field and interactions with potential investigators, as agreed with Home Office Medical and R&D.Support HCPs in the investigator sponsored research (ISR) submission, execution, and follow up processes in accordance with Home Office Medical guidance.Capability Development & Digital EngagementContinuously develop and maintain scientific expertise and communication skills through team learning and training opportunities.Leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance the quality and efficiency of medical engagement.必要な知識/スキル (Required knowledge/skills)Mandatory QualificationsMedical & Regulatory KnowledgeBasic understanding of clinical development (Phase I–IV), investigator sponsored research (ISR), and post marketing surveillance (PMS) in Japan.Knowledge of applicable Japanese regulations and codes, including:Medical Affairs–related lawsFair Competition Code (FCC)Promotion CodeOther relevant local regulations and compliance standards.Analytical & Professional SkillsAbility to analyze information from TL interactions, surveys, and public sources to identify medical needs and potential risks.Capability to translate insights into Medical Strategy–aligned activities and execute them in a compliant manner.Communication SkillsStrong professional communication skills appropriate for the Japanese medical and business environment, both internally and externally.Ability to conduct scientific discussions and build appropriate relationships with healthcare professionals.ExperienceMinimum of 1 year of Medical Affairs experience within the Japanese pharmaceutical industry.Language Proficiency• Japanese – Written (Native level)• Full comprehension of medical literature and general business documents.• Ability to write formal business Japanese and medical/scientific documents in the assigned area.• Japanese – Oral (Native level)• Ability to conduct in depth medical discussions with HCPs and build trust based relationships.• English – Business level• Ability to understand medical literature in the assigned area and general business documents written in English.OtherWillingness and ability to travel as required for business purposesPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of the assigned cardiovascular therapeutic area, including:Disease mechanismsEpidemiologyStandard of care and treatment practices in Japan.Advanced academic or professional background in medical, pharmaceutical, or biological sciences (e.g., PhD, Master’s degree, Pharmacist qualification), or equivalent knowledge and experience.If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
