What we do at AMGEN matters in people’s lives.Primary Market Research Senior AssociateLIVEWhat you will doThe Commercial Insights team at Amgen plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner to Commercial leadership, offering data-backed insights crucial for driving commercial success. In this vital role the Commercial Insights Sr Associate will be part of the primary market research team executing Amgen US tracking studies (ATUs, Chart Audits, PETs & DTC Effectiveness). Enhancing the value of these tracking insights through strategic integration of primary market research with secondary data, tactical data, and internal insights will be critical to delivering on the value to our commercial teams.The Commercial Insights Sr Associate will help deliver primary market research and insights into Amgen’s US brands. The individual in this role will act as a point of contact between the assigned Brand/Asset Teams and Customer Data & Analytics (CD&A) insight generating functions, translating business needs into deep market understanding and actionable outputs.The successful candidate is an excellent business partner who can guide stakeholders through process details in the day-to-day execution of PMR tracking work and assist with integration of insights across sources, including secondary data analysis. Acting as a trusted execution consultant to those teams, this person’s communication and interpersonal skills will complement strong technical ability in quantitative primary market research. You will help uncover the “So What” in the data and clearly articulate the “Now What.”The responsibilities of the role will include:Support brand planning and performance rhythms by preparing inputs for monthly monitors and regular performance/strategy updates to brand stakeholders.Execute and integrate brand performance insights across PMR tracking programs (ATU, Chart Audit, PETs, DTC Effectiveness), ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant deliverables.Coordinate across CD&A functions (e.g., secondary analytics, forecasting, advanced analytics) to connect analytical outputs into a cohesive story that informs brand decisions.Challenge assumptions by raising data-driven hypotheses and alternatives; escalate risks or anomalies and propose mitigation steps (e.g., sample/source adjustments, instrument refinements).Contribute to PMR capability building by researching and piloting new tools/methods and adopting internal/external best practices under guidance from a Manager.Translate PMR findings into actionable insights with clear narratives, visualizations, and recommendations tailored to brand objectives.Ensure compliance and quality for both routine and ad-hoc projects, adhering to Amgen SOPs and service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget.Build productive cross-functional relationships with partners such as Global Marketing, Sales Ops, Global Strategic Sourcing, and Compliance to align on objectives, inputs, and outputs.Communicate effectively with internal partners across ACCP and the US office, and with external vendors, to prioritize business needs and enable effective insights generation.WINWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The market research professional we seek is a collaborative partner with these qualifications.Minimum Requirements:Minimum 3 years of experience in market research, data and analytics, or consulting experienceOR Master’s degree and 3 years of market research, analytics and/or consulting experienceOR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of market research, analytics and/or consulting experienceUniversity Degree in commerce, finance, economics, mathematics, healthcare or related fieldFluency in English, both in written and oral communicationStrong Excel and PowerPoint knowledgePreferred Requirements:Experience within the Pharma/Biotech sector is a plus.Hands-on research planning: Translate business questions into research-ready objectives and execute tracking plans (ATU, Chart Audit, PETs, DTC Effectiveness) with guidance as needed.Working knowledge of pharma market and HCP/patient PMR techniques; comfortable with questionnaire design, sampling, and tab/analysis plans.Analytical skills and the ability to take complex information sets and translate them to actionable outcomesContribute to identifying and implementing new methodologies and data sources to enhance Amgen analytics capabilitiesUnderstand core brand KPIs, competitive dynamics, access drivers, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.Build credibility with cross-functional partners; deliver concise updates and present findings to brand teams and senior stakeholders when needed.Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts and controversial findings clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior managementPlan timelines, juggle multiple studies, and meet quality, timeliness, and compliance expectations.THRIVEWhat you can expect of usVast opportunities to learn, develop, and move up and across our global organization.Diverse and inclusive community of belongi
