And you can too, so bring your energy to ours.As a Financial Reporting & Analysis Accountant III / Senior Accounting Analyst, you will play a key role in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting financial information to support leadership decision-making and external reporting. You will contribute to a wide range of accounting activities while identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation and technology.At the Senior level, you will take on increased ownership, complexity, and leadership responsibilities, including mentoring others and driving improvements across the function.Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Responsibilities / ExpectationsCore Responsibilities (All Levels)Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting, and variance analysisPrepare, maintain, and develop schedules, reports, and analyses for internal and external customersProvide documentation and clear explanations in support of internal and external audit processesProcess and analyze significant volumes of data, transactions, and issuesIdentify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs through automation and technologyPrepares and reviews FERC Form 3Q and Form 2 filings as well as XBRL taggingOther duties as assignedLevel-Specific ResponsibilitiesAccounting Analyst IIIIndependently complete standard accounting activities with minimal guidanceParticipate in projects or initiatives with limited scope and complexityServe as a resource for team members and cross-functional partnersSupport analysis of financial results and explain variancesSenior AccountantLead complex accounting activities and resolve sophisticated issues with minimal guidanceLead projects or initiatives, including coordinating resources and deliverablesReview work of others and provide guidance and mentorship across the teamPartner with leadership to deliver insights and support decision-makingIdentify and drive process improvements across systems, reporting, and workflowsEducation / Years of ExperienceAccounting Analyst IIIRequired: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with a strong accounting focusMinimum of four (4) years of accounting experience in the energy industrySenior Accounting AnalystRequired: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with a strong accounting focusMinimum of six (6) years of accounting experience in the energy industryPreferred (Both Levels)CPA or progress toward certificationOther RequirementsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skillsAbility to understand and work with sophisticated processes and accounting systemsProficient use of Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priorityExperience collaborating with leadership and reporting financial analysisFamiliarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)#LI-AB1About Houston (Williams Tower Location):Our Houston office is located in the Williams Tower, just steps from the Houston Galleria on Post Oak Boulevard, an area with more than 700 retailers, fine dining and hotels within two square miles.
