Join us as Millwright Apprentice Function: Supply ChainReports to: Unit Manager/Operational Lead Scope: Local Location: Anderbolt Factory Terms & Conditions: Full TimeJOB PURPOSEA Millwright Apprentice is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment while undergoing structured technical training under qualified artisans and engineers. The role provides practical exposure to manufacturing and production environments to develop competence as a qualified millwright. We invite you to be part of something bigger.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist qualified millwrights with maintenance and repair of production equipment and machinerySupport fault finding and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsParticipate in planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance activitiesAssist with equipment installations, modifications, and commissioning activitiesLearn and apply safe working procedures and engineering standardsUse engineering tools and measuring instruments correctly and safelyMaintain housekeeping standards in workshops and production areasComplete logbooks, training assessments, and apprenticeship requirementsSupport continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiativesAdhere to safety, quality, and GMP standards within the plant environmentAssist with inspection and replacement of machine components and spare partsWork collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtimeREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSGrade 12 / Matric certificate with Mathematics and Physical ScienceN2/N3 or relevant engineering studies advantageousBasic understanding of mechanical and electrical principlesComputer literacy advantageousAbility to work shifts and overtime when requiredSKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudeProblem solving and analytical skillsWillingness to learn and develop technical skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesAttention to detail and safety consciousnessAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced manufacturing environmentEXPOSURE AREASMechanical maintenanceElectrical systemsPneumatics and hydraulicsPLC and automation systemsPreventative maintenanceEquipment, reliability and troubleshootingAt Unilever, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We welcome applicants from all walks of life and are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive/succeed.
