The team ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Visa Inc.’s financial statements under U.S. GAAP and local statutory reporting under IFRS.What a Finance Manager does at Visa:This role is designed for a hands-on accounting leader with an engineering mindset — someone who combines deep technical accounting expertise with the ability to build automation, leverage data, and apply AI to modernize finance operations.You will own accounting outcomes and actively design scalable solutions that reduce manual effort, detect anomalies, and strengthen controls through intelligent automationOwn end-to-end accounting and controllership responsibilities for Visa entities in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial results in compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC, and SOX requirementsLead the month-end close, balance sheet and P&L flux analysis, and statutory reporting process, partnering closely with auditors through filing and completionAct as a finance engineer by designing, building, and scaling automation solutions across close, reconciliations, flux analysis, controls testing, and reportingApply data, analytics, and GenAI techniques to identify anomalies, pattern breaks, and risks in financial results — proactively surfacing issues rather than reacting to themTranslate accounting requirements into structured logic, data models, and automated workflows that increase consistency and reduce dependency on manual processesPartner with Business, FP&A, Operations Support, and Technology teams to embed accounting compliance into upstream processes and system designContinuously challenge the status quo by simplifying processes, eliminating low-value work, and improving control effectiveness without adding frictionLead or contribute to finance transformation initiatives, pilots, and proofs-of-concept that demonstrate measurable productivity and quality improvementsWhy this is important to VisaThis role plays a critical part in ensuring trusted financial reporting at scale while helping Global Controllership evolve from transaction processing to intelligent, data-driven finance operations. The Finance Manager will act as a change agent, balancing rigorous accounting discipline with building innovation solutions — driving efficiency, strengthening controls, and enabling faster, higher-quality decision-making across the region.This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.QualificationsCore Accounting & Controllership:Degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent professional qualificationMinimum 8 years of relevant experience in a multinational, publicly traded company and/or Big 4 public accountingStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, and financial close processesDeep understanding of balance sheet mechanics, reconciliations, flux analysis, and statutory reportingHigh standards for accuracy, controls, and documentationAutomation, Data & Gen AI:Strong proficiency with financial systems and data tools (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Ariba, advanced Excel)Demonstrated ability to build or meaningfully design automation using tools such as Python, VBA, SQL, Power BI, or equivalent platformsExperience applying data analytics, rules-based logic, or AI/GenAI toolsDetect anomalies and outliersAutomate reconciliation, reviews, processesImprove close speed, quality, and predictabilityAbility to think like an engineer: break problems into logic, design and build scalable solutions, and move beyond manual workaroundsWays of working:Self-starter with the ability to lead improvements from concept through execution, and bridge accounting, data, and technologyComfortable operating in ambiguity and experimenting responsibly within a controlled environmentAligned with Visa Leadership Principles — especially Lead Courageously, Collaborate as One Visa, and Execute with ExcellenceVisa is an EEO EmployerQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
