You will guide teams to solve complex problems, build and evolve CI/CD pipelines, and lead Mastercard’s adoption of DevOps automation and SRE best practices. You will partner closely with Development, Product, and Operations to improve reliability, velocity, and customer experience at scale.What You’ll BringA passion for problem solving and understanding how complex systems work end‑to‑endA strong CI/CD and automation mindset, with low tolerance for manual or repetitive workThe ability to lead teams through change, scale, and continuous improvementExperience building strong partnerships across engineering, operations, and productRole & ResponsibilitiesLeadership & People ManagementLead, coach, and mentor the SRE team across multiple geographies and time zonesFoster a culture of ownership, collaboration, automation, and continuous improvementSupport career development, knowledge sharing, and succession planning within the teamAct as a role model for DevOps and SRE principles, including blameless culture and operational excellenceSRE & DevOps TransformationServe as the production readiness steward for supported platformsPartner closely with development teams to design, build, implement, and support reliable technology servicesDrive SRE best practices across availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self‑healing, and deployment automationLead Mastercard’s DevOps transformation through tooling, standards, and advocacy across development, quality, release, and product organizationsCI/CD & AutomationOwn and evolve the application CI/CD pipeline, enabling high‑quality, low‑friction promotion of software across environmentsDesign and implement CI/CD flows that move code from development to production with minimal manual effortChampion automation to reduce toil, increase velocity, and improve system resilienceLead adoption of industry‑standard DevOps tools and best practicesOperational ExcellenceEnsure systems are production‑ready through launch reviews, capacity planning, and design consultingMaintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall healthAnalyze ITSM signals and incidents, providing actionable feedback to development teams on operational gaps and resilience concernsLead sustainable incident response practices, including blameless postmortems and root‑cause analysisTake a holistic view of production events, connecting signals across the full technology stack to optimize mean time to recover (MTTR)Risk, Compliance & Stakeholder ManagementProactively manage production risk, change activities, and compliance obligations across environmentsStreamline and standardize operational processes, centralizing points of interaction for partnersCommunicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, balancing customer, product, and operational prioritiesCore ResponsibilitiesImprove the full service lifecycle—from design and deployment through operation and refinementShift left by embedding operational readiness and reliability into the development processMaximize customer experience by proactively managing production and change activitiesProvide feedback loops to engineering partners based on real production insightsQualifications RequiredBS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
