Department:12102 Greater Charlotte Research and Other Sponsored Programs - Community Health and ImpactStatus: Full timeBenefits Eligible:YesHours Per Week:40Schedule Details/Additional Information:M-F traditional office hours (9-5) with frequent evening and occasional weekend events allowing for flexibility in work weekPay Range$33.05 - $49.60Major Responsibilities:Support the NextUp Program Manager in the implementation and day‑to‑day operation of Atrium Health’s STEM Learning Lab program.Assist in the execution and daily operations of STEM Learning Lab activities, ensuring smooth and consistent program delivery.Coordinate logistics related to program activities, including scheduling, event planning, and participant engagement.Maintain and manage program documentation, including records of activities, student participation, and partnership engagements.Support relationship development and coordination with stakeholders such as school districts, higher education partners, workforce organizations, and Atrium Health partners.Support implementation of educational programming aligned with STEM industry trends and workforce development needs.Manage equipment maintenance and inventory for the STEM Learning Lab, including coordinating repairs and supporting training on new technologies.Assist in identifying emerging STEM education trends to enhance program content and instructional methodologies.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote program awareness and community engagement.Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and communications to share program progress with stakeholders.Provide administrative support for program initiatives, including budget tracking, grant reporting, and compliance monitoring.Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:None Required.Education Required:Bachelor’s Degree in education, community relations, human services, communications, public health, a STEM‑related field, or a related field.Experience Required:Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in program coordination, nonprofit work, or education, ideally with exposure to STEM programming.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Knowledge of STEM education principles, informal learning models, and youth engagement best practices.Understanding of workforce development trends, particularly within STEM‑related industries.Familiarity with local education systems and community‑based organizations.Basic understanding of grant‑funded program requirements and compliance.Awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles related to youth access and representation in STEM fields.Strong organizational and time‑management skills to manage multiple projects, events, and partner communications.Skill in building and maintaining partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and business or industry stakeholders.Clear written and verbal communication skills for reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and administrative tools.Event coordination and logistical planning skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team structure.Ability to adapt quickly to shifting program needs and priorities.Ability to track, document, and report data related to program outcomes and participation.Ability to engage middle and high school students in a professional and motivating manner.Ability to analyze STEM education trends and recommend program improvements.Comfort navigating culturally sensitive topics and working across lines of difference.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Regular computer use.Occasional travel for program delivery and events.Preferred Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:None Preferred.Preferred Education:Master’s or graduate degree in education, human services, STEM, public health, or a related field.Preferred Experience:Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in an informal STEM education setting or out‑of‑school‑time STEM program.Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Advanced experience with STEM education programming and informal learning environments.Strong partnership development and stakeholder engagement capabilities.Experience supporting grant‑funded or community‑based educational initiatives.DISCLAIMERAll responsibilities and requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only responsibilities to be performed by an employee occupying this job or position.
