Senior Data Engineer - Cloud Data Platform

As a Senior Data Engineer supporting the Cloud Data Platform, you will play a critical role in shaping scalable, high-performing data solutions that enable business intelligence and strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering modern data pipelines and cloud-based data architectures that support batch, near real-time, and real-time data processing. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical solutions, collaborating with architects to define architecture patterns that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. You will evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies, lead proof-of-concept efforts, and recommend improvements to enhance the enterprise data ecosystem. Working cross-functionally with engineering teams, product vendors, and global delivery partners, you will ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of data platforms while proactively addressing delivery risks and implementing solutions to maintain momentum. In this role, you will contribute to planning, estimation, and prioritization of technical initiatives while establishing standards, best practices, and governance for data engineering and development processes. You will drive data modeling, ETL development, performance tuning, and system optimization efforts, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and development methodologies. As a senior contributor, you will mentor team members, provide hands-on technical leadership, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation. What you have Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field10+ years of experience in ETL development, database engineering, and data platform support8+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter3+ years of experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) / IDMC3+ years of experience with Control-M or similar workload automation tools3+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCS, BigQuery)Strong expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling conceptsExperience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages for data processing and automationKnowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based architecture patterns supporting batch and real-time data processingExperience with Agile development practices and tools such as JiraFamiliarity with source control, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Concourse)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret and work with complex data setsEffective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional and distributed teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services or highly regulated industriesExperience collaborating directly with vendors such as Informatica or Google to troubleshoot and resolve platform issuesAbility to interpret trends, metrics, and data insights to inform business and technical decisionsIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
