OpCo: Sciex China, Life ScienceBusiness Title: Senior Finance Manager, SCIEX China FinanceReports to: Finance DirectorWork Location: Shanghai, ChinaPosition SummaryThe Senior Finance Manager will play a critical role in driving financial governance, optimizing working capital, and enhancing process efficiency across SCIEX China. This role is responsible for leading revenue recognition compliance, strengthening credit and collection discipline, and improving end-to-end financial processes to support sustainable growth and cash flow performance.This position partners closely with Commercial, Service, and Global Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, disciplined risk management, and continuous process improvement aligned with SCIEX and Danaher standards.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:1. Revenue Quality, Recognition & Credit Risk ManagementEnsure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with US GAAP and company policiesProvide technical accounting guidance on complex commercial arrangements (e.g., multi-element contracts, cross-opco transactions)Partner with Commercial and Legal teams to structure contracts with clear revenue and risk implicationsLead month-end close activities related to revenue, including reconciliations, analytics, and reportingOwn end-to-end order-to-cash risk management, including credit assessment, credit limit setting, and payment term governanceMonitor AR aging, identify risks proactively, and drive collection strategies with Commercial teamsLead resolution of overdue balances, disputes, and escalations to minimize bad debt exposureStrengthen internal controls across revenue and credit processes to ensure compliance and audit readiness2. Working Capital, OPEX & Financial ForecastingLead working capital management across AR, inventory, contract assets, and demo/consignment inventoryOwn rolling forecasts for working capital, cash flow, and OPEX, ensuring alignment with business outlookManage OPEX budget and forecast, driving discipline and accountability across functionsAnalyze variances and provide actionable insights to improve performanceOptimize cash conversion through billing, collection, and cost structure improvementsTrack key KPIs (DSO, cash conversion cycle, inventory turns, OPEX variance) and drive actions3. Process Improvement, Demo/Consignment Governance & ControlsLead end-to-end finance process improvement and digitalization initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalabilityEstablish and govern processes for demo equipment and consignment inventory, including deployment, tracking, aging, conversion, and returnPartner with Commercial to optimize deployment and return processesIdentify and implement automation opportunities across billing, collections, forecasting, and reportingDrive standardization and best practice sharing across China and global teamsMitigate risks related to asset management, revenue delays, and financial misstatement4. Business Partnering & LeadershipAct as a trusted finance partner to Commercial and Service leaders on revenue quality, working capital, cost management, and cash flow topicsSupport strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and risk assessmentsCollaborate with regional and global stakeholders to align on policies, reporting, and initiativeLead finance process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityIdentify automation opportunities and support digital tool implementation (e.g., billing, collections, reporting)Support leadership with ad hoc analysis and strategic prioritiesAd Hoc assignments arranged by Finance Director.The essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA preferredStrong knowledge and hands-on experience in US GAAP (ASC 606 preferred)Experience supporting complex commercial arrangements and contract structuringExposure to finance transformation, process improvement, or digital/automation initiatives preferredStrong analytical skills with ability to translate data into business insightsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence cross-functional teamsFluent in English and MandarinJoin our winning team today.
