Local Security Officer & SHE Coordinator HUAD

JOB PURPOSEThis role exists to drive excellence in Safety, Health and Environment activities across Unilever operations in Hungary, including Fire Safety, Security, Industrial Hygiene and environmental improvement.The role supports Go to Market activities across offices, virtual offices, distribution centers, field sales and merchandizers, and covers Unilever employees, contractors and third-party suppliers within the country scope.Working closely with different teams, the Country SHE Coordinator helps build a strong safety culture, delivers the local SHE plan, and supports key regional and global initiatives.You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.Because here, we don’t just hire for jobs. We invite you to be part of something bigger.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESImplement global and regional SHE standards and translate them into effective local practices within HungaryDevelop and deliver the country SHE plan aligned with business priorities and risk assessmentsEnsure compliance with Hungarian SHE legal requirements across offices, distribution centers, and field-based operationsConduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement appropriate control measuresAct as Safety Officer for the Budapest office, including fire safety responsibilities in line with local regulationsMonitor SHE performance, investigate incidents, and drive root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actionsLead improvement activities that help prevent harm, strengthen safety culture, and support Unilever’s people and planet commitments.Coordinate SHE trainings, inductions, audits, inspections, and compliance checks, ensuring follow-up on all actionsSupport Health and Wellbeing and Security programs, including industrial hygiene and environmental improvement activities.Integrate SHE requirements into contractor, supplier, and visitor processes to ensure end-to-end safety complianceCollaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to embed SHE into daily operations and transformation projectsShare best practices and build organizational capability through regional and global SHE networksREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years of experience in Safety, Health, and Environment roles, including occupational safety and environmental managementStrong knowledge of Hungarian SHE legal requirements with practical application experienceAdvanced English proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in a multinational, corporate, supply chain, logistics, consulting, or manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with Go-to-Market operations, field sales environments, or multi-site coordinationExperience contributing to safety culture transformation and continuous improvement initiativesADDITIONAL INFORMATIONPerformance based bonusCafeteria (including elements like support for self-development, SZÉP card, ShareNow or home office cost reimbursement)Home office opportunityOpportunity to buy Unilever products at discounted price in the employee shopHealthcare programs – we support your healthy lifestyle with health insurance, sport opportunities and we also provide mental health supportWe provide you company laptop, mobile phone and other equipment is also available upon requestAnnual Salary: 9 600 000 - 12 000 000 HUFUnilever is an organisation committed to equity, inclusion and diversity to drive our business results and create a better future, every day, for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities.
