A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives, and needs is an important part of our culture.This role is within Wealth Management in the Alternative Investments Business supporting products such as hedge funds, digital assets, private equity, private credit and private real estate.  Morgan Stanley has one of the largest alternative investments platforms in the industry and it is one of the fastest growing segments of the firm. The Alternative Investments Fund Profile Analyst will be part of the Fund Onboarding & Servicing team responsible for effectively and efficiently onboarding funds to the Morgan Stanley platform and ensuring they are successfully operating as part of the platform. The Fund Profile (FP) team utilizes the Firm’s Fund Profile system to process FP requests submitted by Product Development.  The team is responsible for setting up new funds and maintaining fund-level static data.   The Fund Profile Analyst plays a critical role in fund launches and manages changes throughout the life of the fund.  The Fund Profile Analyst will also work with the Reg D team and system. The Reg D system is used to pre-qualify prospective investors and allow FAs/PWAs to disclose any information about or offer to sell a specific Private Fund.  The Fund Profile team is critical in ensuring compliance and lawful offerings of these exempt securities. Job Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will cover two primary responsibilities that fall under the Fund Onboarding & Servicing team along with Ad Hoc projects. Document Center (“Doc Center”).The Doc Center serves as a centralized document repository for Financial Advisors or Private Wealth Advisors (FAs/PWAs), their teams and clients to retrieve post-sale Alternative Investments documents.  Once the fund managers are onboarded to the Doc Center, the doc review team performs ‘maker checker’ review of a percentage of documents before publishing the documents to the Doc Center.The candidate will be responsible for performing the ‘maker’ review of the documents.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Once assigned with which documents to review and the quantity, the candidate with review the document for accuracy of specific attributesResponsible for identifying and communicating any discrepanciesWorking at a reasonable pace to meet publishing deadlinesPublishing documents to the Doc CenterRecord completion of review and publishing on a tracker which provides an audit trail Fund ProfileReview and approve requests from the Product team and Processing teamsManage Fund Profile requests to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelinesWork with internal partners to drive to solutions that involve highly complex business scenarios that require a firm understanding of processes and procedures, available products, and the systems that support those productsReview exceptions and make recommendations that are in line with policies and proceduresEscalate issues and events that require attention, or action to business partners, senior business managers, senior risk managers, the legal, and others as appropriateReview platforms, procedures, and processes to identify opportunities for enhancementsDevelop a firm understanding of the target operating model, strategic vision, and execute initiatives that support the team’s modelDrive accountability and limit risk exposure for assigned initiatives by establishing controls and monitoring progress.
