Job Title:Physician –Ohio State Heart and Vascular Memorial Health | Interventional Cardiologist/Structural HeartDepartment:The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an interventional cardiology/structural heart physician to join the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Ohio State Heart and Vascular Memorial Health.Position OverviewThe Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a board-certified/ board-eligible interventional cardiologist with or without structural heart training to join an elite team of physicians at the assistant or associate professor rank at the Ohio State Heart and Vascular Memorial Health. The Heart Partnership, combining the services of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Memorial Health, brings this excellent heart and vascular care to the Marysville, Ohio, community. The successful candidate will focus on both routine and complex coronary artery disease, including inpatient and outpatient consultative services, with a primary focus at the Memorial Health location and opportunity to practice complex coronary and structural cases at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is setting new standards for advanced heart and vascular care through our internationally and nationally recognized experts, including more than 60 cardiology and vascular medicine specialists. Our mission is to provide these same services across communities throughout Ohio. We offer heart and vascular patients some of the most exciting and innovative technologies, treatments, and clinical trials, many of which are only available at Ohio State. The majority of our faculty are principal investigators on a variety of research projects in both basic, translational, and clinical research settings.Requirements- Board Eligible/Certified- Successful completion of a US-accredited cardiology fellowship- Eligible for an Ohio License- Clinical and extramurally funded research is desirable- Qualify for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experienceThe Division of Cardiovascular MedicineThe Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, comprised of over 60 cardiologists with focus areas to include: general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory assist, pulmonary vascular disease, women’s cardiovascular disease, cardiac MRI/CT, and cardio-oncology. The Division is affiliated with the Ross Heart Hospital, which ranked as “Best Hospital” in the top 50 in the nation as reported by US News and World Report. In addition to the 60 cardiologists, there are six fellowship programs: core cardiovascular medicine fellowship, interventional cardiology fellowship, electrophysiology fellowship, heart failure and cardiac transplant fellowship, adult congenital heart disease fellowship, and cardiovascular diagnostic imaging fellowship. The division provides services in over 12 counties in Ohio and KentuckyFaculty DefinedClinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD), or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO, or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years.
